My persinal opinion is go for stainless steel but its not for everyone. The good thing with it is that people who suffer with a nickel or chromium allergies will not have a reaction which is a type of dermatitis.. Randy @ lilminx does a great range inc power coated. Since having the addition of a Polesleeve in the studio the girls abd guys love it que to use and there ability and confidence has been amazing.. contact victor @ Polesleeve I would not open a studio without one.

We just use 99% alcohol on ours. As someone has stated previously. Works great and you can buy it in a 5ltr container here in the uk and its lastered over 8 months. Just use a good quality spray bottle. But as our poles are 45mm marine grade stainless there ate no issues even if we used steam… not like chrome or plated poles.

Hi sirene nice to see you all talking about the use of silks on a pole. We can offer you the apparatus known as polesilks here in Europe and certification for a faction of the cost. Please look at our website polesilks.co uk

Each to their own just like the different grips avaliable -
Hi Rockstar you can buy genuine Polesilks poleamor.com in the USA. We tried all the ones from fabric places and found them to be very hard on your skin. Sue

What great posts from you all If your looking to start your journey with Pole and Material
We would also like to clarify for anyone who is looking to purchase any of the products that are now available.Polesilks was specifically designed not to damage your pole, and to fit any pole. (without removing any parts from the unit or pole) Our SILKS again where designed for the same use. Each unit carries its own serial number that is specifically assigned to you the owner.
We spent close to a year testing in house and then having tests carried out on both by an independent testing house using a compression fitted pole.
Why did we do this? So we could offer insurance to ensure YOUR SAFETY. After meeting with Mark Culp at PoleExpo 2013 his help was invaluable allowing us to extend our insurance to the USA and Canada.
Our silks carry a logo so that we can identify our product should there be any issue and to prove that we are the manufacturer of them and they are not purchased “Off the shelf” or from an on-line shop etc.
Please remember when using any of these products you follow their fitting and safety instructions along with you pole manufactures instructions to ensure your safety at all time and train safe!
To clarify what you can our product for please refer to our website Q&A section for more information http://www.polesilks.co.uk/q-a/
We can also offer training by Skype.
