Mine is right in the living room and stays up for all to see, I no longer care what people think. it is carpeted but I use another room with hard floors for just floorwork with no pole involved.

MemberJanuary 23, 2013 at 6:33 pm in reply to: I did something really dumb and now I am injuredThanks everyone. the back pain is getting better but I still have absolutely no feeling in my leg. I am stubborn about going to Dr. so I will give it until Monday and if I don't start feeling my leg by then I will go in and get it checked out. I have been to a chiro in the past and it made me start having terrible headaches so I hope I don't have to go that route.

MemberJanuary 22, 2013 at 1:41 pm in reply to: I did something really dumb and now I am injuredThe pain did not happen right away, it started about 15 minutes after the spin and it was like someone suddenly punched me in the back. it keeps coming and going mostly when I try to keep proper posture, it is relieved by slouching.

Great routine, congrats on graduation! My hubby only supports tricks if I start dancing at all he will ask why and why I want to be good at dancing and not just tricks and who I am trying to impress etc… I don't see your routine as stripperish. On that note to CapFeb~I am dying to know how you move "the sprout of your lady garden without using hands" lol I have never been to a club so this intriques me 🙂

If when you decorate for Christmas you set up your Gingerbread men to look like they are poling on the candy canes LOL

I am up to 12 pull-ups and 6 chin ups with proper form and no assistance and can do 20 pull-ups with chair assistance. Before P90X I could only do 3 and only with a chair. I love doing them but get really dissapointed when my mind says YES and my body says NO WAY and won't let me do more lol. This program looks promising http://www.twentyfivepullups.com/

@Luvlee I don't know how others diagnose it but my Dr. just said by being able to pinpoint an exact spot where the pain was coming from it told him what it was right away and he felt no xrays or other testing was necessary. I looked up the diagnosis and I agree with it. I got this from weightlifting not pole but I am listening to my body and luckily only breathing hurts ha! I can still lift and do my workouts, but I am being smart about it. Thanks again everyone

Good news it's just costochondritis (inflamation of rib cartilage) I just have to apply heat before and after workouts and take naproxen for the inflamation. thanks everyone

Katana I have high blood pressure and it has been staying high with the p90x workout load b/c my medicine has not been bringing it down like it should anymore, I hadn't even thought this could be related but you could be right! I have had angina before but it was in a different location. I will call and see if I can get into my Cardiologist today. feels like a different pain than that though.

I did 90 minutes of p90x yoga the night before, but I did not strain and it felt great but maybe it still tweaked something that I just didn't feel at the time. thanks everyone
