I do some cardio I just do not do it everyday because of how bad it makes me feel which is why I only do the pole fit 2 times a week and the rest is stretching and strength training, anyhow I am struggling with it all because even lifting weights accelerates my heart so I guess I have to depend on diet alone to get the weight off of me. thanks to everyone who replied https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Cardio makes my heartbeat irregular so I am not able to do anymore. I thought building muscle is the key to reshaping body and burning fat, I sure hope so because its all I can do to try to get in better shape!

Count me in! This is ridiculous and I find their green MNM’s commercials to be provocative not the beautiful pole dancer image, UNREAL! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

I have the same problem. I have found a fan aimed at the pole and where I can just reach my hands out to fan them off has helped some but all I have to do is think about getting on the pole and my hands are soaked with sweat. It is very frustrating because once I am inverted and start to do another move my hands get slippy and I have to dismount and wipe the pole and my hands and start all over trying to keep grip. I take comfort in the fact that if my strength improves I will make up for what I lack in grip https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I injured my trapezius coming out of iguana mount.(Don’t carelessly exit from this move)
I was sliding out of an invert and released thinking I was closer to the floor than I actually was and fell (Obvious one here: Make sure you are touching the floor before you release your body! lol)
I was coming out of an invert and my kids moved my exercise ball under me so I landed on it and bounced into my pole and caused a huge blood blister on my big toe and twisted my ankle https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif make sure the area under you is free of obstacles if your kids are around https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif )
I agree that teaching default exit strategies is really important!! And I also agree with a previous poster saying to "make sure your brain is engaged" -
One time I dreamed I was in a room covered in poles but only one of them was the right one and I kept trying to find it but it changed so often I couldn’t lol

I just cemented a pole in the ground in my backyard. Work well for me! Although i much prefer my x-pole situated in my kitchen. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
this is exactly what I have been thinking of doing! -
some of those people I feel sorry for b/c with such closed minds they are missing out on the GREATEST form of exercise and its their loss https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif~ and SO FREAKING WHAT if we do want to dance sexy for our men its imo no different than doing our hair nice or dressing a little sexy for them or even wearing makeup and there is not a damn thing wrong with any of it, when I first got my pole I was adamant about it being seen as a piece of exercise equipment and not for stripper moves but now I just do not give a damn even though it is only for working out I let them think what they want b/c there is no harm done. ugh some of those people disgust me but like I said its their loss https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I have been thinking about a yard pole also poletwista, if you come across anything helpful please share, I would love to have an outdoor pole! My Dad turned my flirty girl fitness pole into a permanent pole somehow and with the help of a golf ball it spins, unfortunately that is ALL it does I cannot figure out how to make it static.
-
Well my pole is only spin and so I have never tried it on static but I can do RG spin. like everything just build up the strength and keep working at it and you will get it.

I am definitely taking it easy I am far to dizzy and winded just walking around my house so I would not dare try to exercise or do any pole work. it just makes me so mad that I try to be healthier and active and I am doing well then out of the blue this happens and I am sidelined from workouts. blah https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_neutral.gif thanks for the hugs
