I have it and I like it a lot, too. It’s like an upgrade to RLNA, if you add in the splits stretching as phoenix mentioned, which is what I’ve done so far. I also agree with her statement about it not being for very beginners (as I felt with RLNA when I first got it…I was hopeless with it until I learned my own pace and range of motion) but once you are able to control the movements and practice regularly, it becomes so fun! And I love that it’s *almost* all in one total body strength and Flex in one workout.

Veena is the best! I’m very pleased with the year of lessons I bought when I started seriously poling. She has more than enough material to cover you for a year + and always adding more. Personally I found her progression of lessons to be perfect and I felt very secure with each new move because I was ready for it. I’ll sing it to the gods above, her plan here is amazing and I attribute everything I have become to her wonderful teaching methods. Highly recommend ✔️💯👍

Thanks for the info, ladies! I’m kinda short @ 5’4″ so most things will go over the heels, my biggest issue is the waistbands. I have to buy small or medium but then the waistbands are always so tight! Very frustrating. Don’t even get me started on one size fits all!! ☺️☺️

Anyone got any opinions on the kmk leggings? Like, is the waistband tight or elastic? I have a bit of pudge there and am desperate for a pair of leggings that I can stretch in without splitting seams, no muffin top, and maybe even long enough to go over my heels… ???

I pulled/tore/strained(?) my rotator cuff in September doing yoga and while I still poled on it, it would ache constantly (though I never felt any sharp pains while poling, it was very certain movements that hurt). I thought I was stuck with this pain forever, but recently I sprained my ankle and had to take 5 weeks off and that was what did it. I needed that time off. A significant amount of time, though. I tried 3 weeks for a hamstring pull and it wasn’t enough for the rotator. Just my experience, ofc, but thought I’d weigh in.

I see a lot of dancers wearing Bad Kitty Polefit blinged up, as well as Mika Yoga Wear, at the competitions and showcases, plus when you visit studios they usually have a retail area and at the competitions the sponsors/ vendors generally have tables set up with clothes. Otherwise, Lulu lemon has pretty tops, starlet apparel has sexy bottoms, indipolewear, winx designs, dragonfly brand, and Cleos Rock n Pole site has clothes. I’ve even seen ladies who wear custom outfits made by ex ice skaters from etsy. Lots of options for you, I hope!

(I’m no expert) It took me a year to do elbow grip Ayesha and a little over a year to do a split grip Ayesha. I’m at a year and a half now and I’m still working on them, so it takes a while to perfect after you’ve “gotten” a move. Every body is different. Elbow, forearm, and handstands, as well as strong extended butterflies are conditioning exercises I used to get there. Plus, just dancing as often as I felt inclined. It’ll happen if you keep working, one day you’ll be in your extended butterfly and it’ll just feel right and boom. Be patient young grasshopper 😎

I just learned how to slip down between the thighs in superman (my body sticks to the pole like glue) and that has been a huge victory for me! Now I can flip my grip to be the proper one and pull myself back to the pole for aerial shoulder mounts and, possibly, titanic! So excited!

Try using a brace board like a piece of plywood about the size of your mount/dome and put it between the ceiling (right in the middle of the joist) and your pole. That will spread out the weight evenly. 🙂

Scorpio is a favorite move, and I like both versions. I’m different I guess because I feel more comfortable in the short version. That may be my open hips though. Both versions hurt like hell until you’re doing them every practice, then it does lessen a bit. I remember thinking, “am I the only one?” because nobody was ever mentioning how much scorpios hurt so I thought I was doing it wrong. 😀

Agree with all above, cross ankle release is a move where your body is close to the pole, creating a faster spin, not to mention being upside down makes everything seem 100 times faster! You’ve gotta be prepared to exit safely should you find yourself going too fast. A gentle push from the floor can be intentional and attractive and a good place to test your limits.

Your pole room looks super fun, you’ll def enjoy working out in there! I’ve found studioveena to be the best “studio” for me and Veena a wonderful and safety conscious instructor, allowing me to learn at my own pace, with people I like to be around, and very encouraging to boot. It really is a great investment in yourself. Happy poling!
