i have a faux x pole my husband bought on amazon. its been a good pole. the screws for static mode stripped right away but other than that shes been sturdy. weve used it side by side with a real xpole and didnt notice any difference

ive only been at it since january and have never been to a class. i learn alot from a friend who is way experienced when we can get together. i also do veenas lessons and know what you mean about the human contact part.youtube has also played a part. since i joined this sight i watch the vids of fellow veeners for inspiration, and guidance

since i started poling i was very afriad to say anything to anyone.slowly i started to tell people and the positive response was surprising! i really thought they would jump right to the stripper stereotype and they really didnt. i guess im lucky to have such a supportive husband, family and friends. the more pole became part of my daily life the more empowered i felt and last night i made the big come out on facebook with a beginner vid! i figure pole is now apart of me and who i am and if someones offended by it they dont have to look 🙂 the response was awesome…only a few stripper jokes were made in good spirits, and my husband is very proud. and im proud to finally have the confidence to show a sport im really in love with. all in all id say it was a succeess!

i still havent been to a studio but i did sign up for veenas lessons and i find it so much easier to progress at home with all of the step by step breakdown. i love it! i will say i work much better when i have my friend there to coach me,as my missteps are pointed out more quickly. all in all im enjoying poling from home as i can go at my own pace, and pole when the inspiration strikes 🙂

i feel your pain…i have terrible wrists that when aggrivated can keep me off the pole for a week or more! just when i get into a groove bam! they swell and i know im done for awhile. i like to take that time and work on what conditioning i can and stretching

at 5'5'' and 165 lbs i feel your pain. i even have a great shouldermount vid i havent posted becuse of the way my belly hugs the pole! ive been poling for 4 months and every vid i take i watch and think oh my god this is how other people see me! ive tried to focus on the positive but its really hard and can be discouraging. dont let it discourage you as it has me! everyone has beauty,in how they move or express themselves! i feel as if i would be farther along had i not let this issue plague me,dont make my mistake! everyone is beautiful in their own right..own your beauty!
