Thank you for all the advice. It’s not caused by pole as such, usually the flare ups are caused by other activities, but sometimes it niggles when I do pole, and I’d like to prevent problems where I can rather than like I am now waiting for them to recover 🙁
I have ordered some of the wrap style supports, so I will give those ago when they arrive. They look like they can go on when I’m poling, whereas all my other supports wouldn’t allow me to grip the pole when they’re on. Fingers crossed 🙂 -
X Pole- when are you adding the 40mm mounts? This was 4 months ago and still no sign : (

Great : ) Thanks for the tips! I’m looking forward to giving him a few more things to try next time he’s here (we live a couple of hours apart at the moment, so we’re not at each other’s houses super often). Watch this space… : )

Thanks for all the tips! Definitly need to try out some of those.

I’d be willing to help. Have you thought about contacting providers of pole classes to ask if they would pass on your questionnaire to their students? There’s probably a lot of UK polers who arn’t on here…

Wish they made one for my 40mm sport : (

Get them to give it a go and they’ll see how difficult it is!
Sorry to hear though that you’re having trouble at work, I suffered for 2 years in an unpleasant workplace, it’s not fun. I hope things improve. If not could you transfer to a different area/ branch or something?
I do feel though that really it should be none of their buisness what you do in your spare time (unless it was illegal or unethical or something obviously), but hopefully you can convince then around!

I seems to recall this site having lots of good information and a good range of different brands: http://www.femininewear.co.uk/see-all-menstrual-cups-160-c.asp
I must dig mine out and give a another go, I never quite had time to get the hang of it when I got it!

So, I finally got my pole up and gave it a go… The spins are fine, but I can’t grip it with my legs at all! Will this get easier? I must need to work on my inner thigh muscles…!

@evailduran4943
It is possible to get a pole to fit on a low ceiling. I got an x pole and an exension piece to replace the main top section (the ‘b pole’) to make it shorter. You would of course have to practice carefully though I guess so you don’t end up kicking the ceiling all the time or something…! -
Thanks for all the advise : )
The extension piece I needed arrived yesterday so hopefully I will be able to get the pole up at the weekend, then I’ll be able to give it a go. Fingers crossed that 40mm works for me!
-
Also I think X Poles start at 7’4″ so that should fit for your ceiling with one of the supplied extensions.
-
I have a ceiling that is slightly too low for most of the standard pole lengths, so got an x pole and a long extension piece to replace one of the main pole sections. When I looked about x pole seem to offer the most versitality if your moving about, with pleanty of extension and mount options.

Thank you so much for all your responses : )
I’m still trying to decide what to do, it seems so thin compared to the poles I have my lessons on! But I guess the only way to find out is to give it a go…
Unfortunately I’ll have to wait until I’ve ordered the extra extension to give it a go.
And additional problem that for some reason x pole don’t do a ceiling mount for the 40mm sport pole so I’ve also got to work out another way to get it up (I’ve got exposed wooden beams which are too narrow for the top plate, so was just going to put the fixed mount on instead. Thinking a wooden block attached to the beam for the plate to sit onto might work, but not sure).
