Ok I will try to put e pole closer to my girls parts and see if that helps. I do the whole twisting thing and try to grab low with a straight arm. But it is kinda scary not to be able to have a full grip and then let go of the top hand.

I had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed and a few weeks later I had a mastectomy. I didn’t go back to poling for a few years. For a long time I had lost the range of motion. If you have problems with your ROM ask for a referral to a physical therapist.
I had to go trough a lot of treatments do was out of exercise for quit some time.

Just try safe up for it yourself 🙂 every time you have something extra to spent, put it aside and pass on eating out etc. maybe you can cut back on something like Starbucks or soda’s, something you spent $ on but not really need and then use the $ you save to buy a pole.

Before my first class I told my honey I was going to pole dancing. He didn’t like the sound of that. After that I started calling it pole fitness and told him I was taking private class and not doing stripper moves, then he warmed up to the idea. After my pictures of my first wrist sit and other stuff he started showing off my pictures to his friends. And at one point he told me as soon as we have some extra $ I can buy my pole 🙂

I have no tips either. When I was younger I always could do a bridge. The. Until a few weeks ago I couldn’t. Doing a bridge was one of my goals for this year, even before I started pole. Then a few weeks ago I wanted to try one during stretching after my pole class, and was able to do it. I don’t know what made the difference. I know I got stronger in my shoulders and more flexible. But what exactly did the trick? I am not to sure.

I met my honey about 14 lbs heavier then I am now. Then I gained an other 14 lbs and since the beginning of the year I lost 28 lbs. But at which ever weight I was he always has made me feel that I am the most beautiful woman walking this earth. For him it doesn't matter. I lost all the weight for myself. It was important to me. 🙂

pole is good strength training. But you also need cardio and of course your diet is important. It all goes hand in hand 🙂

I have the vega breakfast powder Its a little less protein, but I take it every morning for breakfast. And then the rest of my protein for the day I get in by eating egg, meat etc. And I am a fitness instructor.

Since the beginning of the year I lost 28 pounds. I have been at my goal weight for about 6 weeks. I lost fat, but didn't  gain much muscle. Muscle gain goes a lot slower. And I was pretty muscular  already.

I hardly ever drink soda, cut back on my sweets. Added a bit more protein. No carbs after lunch. I only eat veggies and meat for dinner. And portion control.

And change up your exercise routine from time to time. I do cardio several times a week. 3 Months ago I started poling and from time to time I ad running to it all.

Because I am very new to poling. My three months coming up. My first combo at 2 months was invert, butterfly, gemini, scorpio and then gracefully sliding down.

Now a month further I am working on, ariel invert, butterfly, extended butterfly, gemini, reverse aysha, gemini, scorpio, scorpio handstand and then gracefully ending that. Hopefully I get it on tape tomorrow.

My nemesis right now is the advanced plank. I walk my top hand as low as possible and then place my bottom hand on the pole. But I can't get a full grip until I let go of my top hand. I guess my arms are to short. When I look at the lesson, Veena has a full grip with both hands and then lets go of her top hand. But I don't have a full grip. I can only reach with part of my fingers and can't grab the pole with my whole hand.

Tarah is a great instructor. I feel very lucky.

I want the veena pole. I love the color and it is the same type as I pole on at Tara's.

I am new to poling, but I teach dance. Most songs I create to the music. Chorus, bridge, verse. Once in a while when I want to teach complicated steps I teach one step repeat and then add a next step.
