    Thanks guys!
Yeah I found a club that seems decent; it’s quite upscale and there’s no touching (but apparently a lot of flirting) in it which I can totally deal with. Although, the stripperweb reviews from the dancers said there was a pretty high turnover rate… however, that same club also does amateur nights every week and always gives a $1000 prize!! So I’m gonna head over and see what that’s like and hell if I can get a prize even just once a month, my rent is paid! Hahah

    awwww <3

I have to say, my dad left in 2006 and it was due to infidelity; my mother was completely loyal and wonderful (and she still is the most wonderful woman I know). And though I no longer keep contact with my father, it made me realized that if you do not love someone, you should be the bigger man and leave the relationship before you *do* find someone else. It always seemed like a coward’s way out to cheat on somebody and *then* say "oh I’m unhappy". So kudos to you for realizing this *before* you found someone who supported you. And you know what? You deserve that. Everyone on earth deserves someone who supports who they are and who they want to be.

I’m so sorry you’re in this situation, I’m sure it’s much more complex than I can currently understand, but it sounds like you’re making a very mature and responsible decision and that’s very fair to everyone involved.

I hope you are emotionally okay and I hope that you take bodybuilding as far as you want it to go, because that is who you are and that is really what we should all strive for .

If you ever need to talk, I’m sure I speak for everyone on this site that you can message me/us anytime at all. Sometimes it’s easier to tell strangers your story than it is close friends <3 <3 <3

    Good luck, darling!

honestly, I wish it were seen more as a sport than a sexy thing. It is a very hard age because yeah sure she may use it to "lure boys" as you say (I’m just thinking back to when I was 13), but if you are teaching her and showing her that it can be used in a competition setting, then I say go for it. Not only is it empowering and *FANTASTIC* exercise, but it really does take a lot of skill and strength. I’d rather have a daughter who could pole dance than a daughter who was obese and non-active. Society be damned – it’s just as much of a sport as soccer and softball!!!

To be honest, nikki_cristie, I wouldn’t worry about the pain, they’re actually not that bad! Women have a very high pain tolerance and though it varies person to person, it’s always worth it in the end : D My sister is 105 pounds and 5’2" and she’s gotten a 7 hour script tattoo on her ribcage and didn’t shed a single tear. If you really want a tattoo and you have thought about it for a while (I usually wait about 6 months and if I still really want that tattoo, I’ll get it) then it’s always worth the pain. : D

BTW if anyone is interested, I have designed a few of my friends’ tattoos as well as all my own (though they’re just symbols). My portfolio is http://www.taylorhuval.com if you wanna take a look : ]

I have them almost every night now : D
Actually, some studies have suggested that when you dream about a new skill, it means you’re learning it better because your subconscious is sifting through everything you’ve taken in and organizing it in your brain. Hence why people say that when you dream in another language, it means you’re mastering it!

I love having pole dreams, though, cause I’m so much better in my dreams and I never get tired or sore! hahah : P

Haha I LOVE this store… It’s hella expensive (yeah, I said "hella expensive") but it’s all really amazing quality (They have some incredible costumes too).

I very strongly believe that lingerie is something to treat yourself to every once in a while, even if you’re single (if not especially when you’re single!) It makes you feel pretty and it’s fun to lounge in and feel classy : ]

And yes, I definitely have a good section of closet dedicated specifically to lingerie : P

Otherwise, I usually pole dance in exercise wear or just a bra and undies. I’ll save the lingerie for when the video camera is off : P

Haha so true! Actually, it has been proven that women have a much higher pain tolerance than men (which comes in handy for childbirth, I’m sure!) – a good example is my 105 pound sister getting a 7 hour ribcage tattoo (the most painful spot) and not flinching compared to big muscly guys getting arm tattoos and crying like babies : P

Although, I’m still hesitant to dip my hand in vodka… hahah

Yay thanks guys! Definitely made me feel a lot better! And though I make sure not to wear creams before I pole, I also neglected to wash my hands with soap and water which seems like it would help quite a lot. Although, I’m not sure if I’m man enough yet to dip my blisters in vodka! hahah sounds effective but painful! I’ll stick with neosporin for now : P
