Zoilife, Mine were clip-in so I could add more or less depending on what I wanted my hair to do. I’ve also worn a big poufy ponytail on a clip, It takes about 5 seconds to go from ‘meh’ to ‘wow’ They are a livesaver when your hair refuses to cooperate some days. This is a pic taken a few years ago.

I love that new hair – new energy feeling! I got into cutting my own hair a while back as my then stylist was cutting so much off it was getting shorter when I was actually trying to grow it!
I bought some beautiful rainbow titanium scissors & dared myself to do it. Now I can have that just-been-trimmed nice feeling when I want it, without the expense! I swear it makes me walk taller 🙂
So sorry to hear that your hair is breaking! It’s horrible when you discover damage on long hair, I had to cut the bad stuff out & re grow from healthy hair a while back, it was quicker in the long run than nursing all those frizzy split ends. I used extensions as an instant fix while it grew back but they took some getting used to.

@Becca I have done some flexibility training & ballet on & off for some time but not recently, so rather than me change anything it’s been more about starting this & staying with it so that daily stretching becomes more of a good habit than something I remember to do once in a blue moon.

Ok so day 4 completed, how are we all doing? I really struggled to slow the flowmotion stretches right down enough, proof that I rush too much.

Yay, day three accomplished! Tomorrow sounds interesting, I haven’t tried the flowmotion stretches before.

Ooh it just has to be my neon pink 7″ Pleaser Adores! They’re unbelievably comfortable & have just the right amount of slide on the floor without being slippy. I tried Tony shoes a while back & found them a bit narrow & unstable for me, despite having very narrow feet. 🙂

I bought a tie sided pole romper from Sweet Vixen Couture a while back, they give you different size options for the top & bottoms independantly so you get a fabulous fit. They’re now based in the UK but can ship to the US. The style I chose had cut outs at the sides so my tummy stayed covered up.

I have the nasty campy pains sometimes in my feet too! Earlier this year I spent a lot of time working on the little muscles in my feet to gain flexibility, articulation & strength for ballet en pointe. I began with feet that were barely in a straight line from the knees to the tips of my toes when I was pointing them. They just looked horrible!
The harder I tried to point them & get that darned ankle as flat as possible, they would just cramp up & hurt like a bitch!
To get them stronger I worked on them gently at first, circling the ankles either direction, first with flex toes then pointed, calf raises on a stair so the calves got a good stretch in the lowered position.
There’s a foot exercise called ‘doming’ which is great, I think Veena has it in her foot strength lesson, you basically start with the foot flat on the floor & try & shorten it by lifting the arch & ball off the floor while keeping the toes nice & straight.
All of this really helped me, but I got impatient with the shape of my point & used a foot stretcher device, which was a pain in the bum to use, took ages to work on each foot making sure they were worked equally, plus I never felt safe using it as it seemed a bit too easy to overdo it & cause damage.

When I want a good stretch to the ankle for a nice point, I sit on my feet & shins in a kneeling position on a soft surface like my bed, it’s really easy to do without causing any damage, you put as much or as little weight on the ankles as you feel you need.
Sorry for the essay, hope this is of some help!

That’s a really good idea Blondierat, it doesn’t matter at all where you are on your journey, it’s lovely to see it happen. I feel connected to everyone who posts things, like I’m able to cheer them on.

I’ve had to start over again, beginning two weeks ago. We had a horrible 14 months trying to sell our house. The pole, yoga hammock & anything else not the ‘norm’ had to be put to bed ready for any last minute viewings. Thank god we finally got an offer, at least for the coming weeks that we’re still here I can make a start. I’ve lost a ton of strength but kept some of my flexibility, I’m sure that things will only improve for each of us. 🙂

Would a freestanding pole be out if the question? You could use it anywhere without risk of damage. As I live in a very old cottage with lath & plaster ceilings I went this route. On warm days I can also take the pole outside.

I’ve never seen anything so amazing! We’re about to move house so I’ll have to wait & see what sort of fixing points I can use. Hoping the aerial hammock can go back up soon.
