Nope.  Standing and sitting are both fine.

@Legend – the ear burn isn't typical =)  The only advice I've gotten before posting here was to try bringing it closer to my spine to get it off the bone… I slid out of it once, thus the ear burn!

why is it the smoothest tricks always happen off camera?  normally my superman to invert is wiggle wiggle squeak slide, repeat.  camera off and smooth slide down. lol.

My pole is down today while my leaky roof is getting fixed… wonder if the repair guy would appreciate it if I practiced booty bounces instead?  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Does this stuff work okay on for your hands or is it more of a leg lotion?  My hands are always soo dry!

I'm a fan of the p90x ab ripper routine.  You can find it on youtube without purchasing the whole p90x program.  Does a good job of targeting lower, oblique, core, everything.  Might want to add in some supermans at the end, though.  It's killer, but quite effective!

I have no experience with the stand alone stage, but I will say I've had awesome experiences with PS customer service.  I ordered mine after the new bottom loaders came out (not a fan of bottom loading on any brand…yuck) and they made mine top loading at no extra charge.  When I got my pole I needed to replace one of the sections.. all it took was a phone call.  They promptly sent me a replacement section and I sent the bad one back in the box they sent the replacement in.  Again, no extra charge, no hassle.  I'm sorry for everyone who's had a bad experience with them, but just so you know, STLpoledancer, it's not always horrible!

Like I said, not very specific =P

The first links you sent (to the books) look like what I wanted, actually. (And google preview lets me read them online!) It's not for credit or anything, it's just because I'm curious.  The ISSA section on anatomy is good, but I'm wanting more in depth info on how the muscles interact while stretching/exercising.

    Thanks!

Trying to take my hand off in the rockstar spin… did a 3 bounce landing across the floor on my booty.  Thank goodness for the padding!

question for polechamp – still planning on going, maybe bringing some other polers.  is it customary to tip during a competition?  do they usually start on time?  I know amateur nights tend to start late and most of us have early moring day jobs.  thanks!

this is one of my favs, mostly 'cause you get to lay down =)

lay flat on your stomach, keeping your head on/very close to the floor. put a weight (start 5-8lb and work up) between your feet.  squeeze to pick it up and slowly bring your feet up to your butt and back to the floor

Sorry, I meant I might go watch, not enter!  Hello stagefright!  Do you think it will be more floor work, then, or will there still be a decent level of pole involved?
