Ohh wants https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I have a ton of those. But first I noticed, at least one person mentioned snaz75.com Really I would stay far far away from them. I do a lot of online ordering for dancewear and shoes and have ordered from them a few times. The first time I had to send the shoes back because they were the wrong size, they sent me back the wrong style, I sent those back and finally got my shoes. The second time they took almost four months to get my shoes out to me and never bothered to tell me so, and thier contact is horrible, it took forever for replies, I tried to cancel my order and they wouldnt because it had been processed already yet the shoes had not been shipped or packed. Any who…off my rant/warning about them..

I must have these socks http://www.spicylingerie.com/hu61152-104.html
    This robe: http://www.spicylingerie.com/rm2670sl.html
These shorts: http://www.flirtcatalog.com/p-90459-true-religion-heritage-denim-shorts.aspx (I think they would be adorable with a plaid bra or even a cut up plaid shirt tied up kinda a daisy dukes look)
Those are my current must haves https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I am hoping I can go. *crosses fingers* But for me it will all depend on finances. Saturday is one of the nights I work so I will have to take a night off to go.

I may sound crazy here, but, I discovered that using alcohol wipes on both my hands and if it is really bad, the pole really helps me out. If you think about it, it does make sense, washing your hands, doing dishes, cleaning, touching your face, and other things you get a lot of "junk" on your hands and the alcohol will take it all off. I personally have never had a severe sweaty hand problem, thankfully, but I was still having a hard time gripping and that is what helped me, and I swear by it now. Just be sure when you are done for the day to use a bit of lotion on your hands sense it will dry them out.
As for the blisters I know the feeling, when i started dancing my hands were getting so many blisters and poping in was insane. Unfortunately you only really have two options there: use a lighter grip (not to safe), or keep on bandaging them up when it happens, wait for your hands to heal up and rinse and repeat. You will built up clauses and it will stop happening.
Or as others have suggested give in and get some gloves/grip aide. Personally I hate the stuff, I used it a few times and all it did was tear me up. But I know many people have had good results with it.

Wow thank you all for your responses! It is great to hear that you all really are non judgmental https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif *feels all warm and fuzzy now*.

It actually kind of irritates me when I see people in the pole dancing industry copping this snotty attitude toward dancers (I haven’t seen that here, though, and I’d be surprised if I did, as I think a couple of the girls dance,) because hello?! Where do you think we got it from in the first place? Strippers are the ones who brought us this art–why should we snub them?
This just made my day! Thank you!!!

To me I really do not understand why some choose to judge exotic dances. The whole reason I bought this up today was one, I really wanted to know if I was safe talking about it. (I practice mostly at the club I dance at, and it is also where I met my husband (He was the DJ I was the dancer https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ) But another "pole dancer" came into the club last night and proceeded to try and humiliate me in my own club. Granted I put her in her place when I got on stage and busted out with some of my best tricks and then told her to step up or shut up, but it still really aggravated me. I hate nothing more then when a fellow pole dancer comes into the club with her man, or a male friend and just snubs me. Sadly, it happens more then it should.
Yes I dance on a stage, and dance in nothing but a thong at work. That does not make me any less skilled. In a way I have found that dancing topless has actually helped with precision when it comes to poling. (There is nothing worse then getting pole burn on your girls). Honestly, I think dancing in front of a crowd night after night has really helped me as a pole dancer because it helps me gauge what works and what doesn’t. (Not to mention most clubs have more then a pole to dance on, so I have learned some other acrobatic things as well.) The club I work at now actually has an I beam on the second stage that I have recently figured out how to do the splits on and I can swing from it. Another club had a stationary trapeze bar that with my husbands help, I was able to do cordovas on among other tricks.
I will note though that the ones I do know do not do big tricks….a few simple things to grab attention and the rest is oozing sexuality.
My husband puts it best. There are three types of exotic dancers. Dances, Entertainers, and Show Girls. Dancers are anyone that is new to dancing (think their first month). Entertainers are like the girls you are talking about, and many times they will not do any ticks, or like you said a few. Show girls are the ones that rock the stage, doing lots of tricks, movement and just in general really put on a show.

Thank you both for the welcome!
Hmm I really dont get out to the DFW area much so I dont know about the stuidos out there. I may have to take a field trip! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Yes I am on facebook I should be under the same name as I am here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Ooh! A Pole Jam? I have never been to one before! Sounds like a blast tho!
I am hoping to get some pics up soon, I have been digging around trying to find them, but at this rate I might as well just take some new ones hopefully by next week.
This site seems to rock so far. Honestly it is nice just to finally find a community even if its just online of other pole dancers.

    Woohoo, go houston.

You have a lot of good dancers in the area, so you’re in luck! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Not so many pole studios though, why is that?! WHY IS THAT, Texas!?! I’m from DFW, despite my current DC Location. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Its not too bad https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I have lived here for about three years now.

Yea I know a few dancers around here, for the most part they are pretty cool, but they seem few and far between.

As for studios the only ones I know of are S Factor *rolls eyes* No offense meant if some one here likes them, but the S Factors here, well the instructors think they are better then everyone else and really are not. On numerous occasions they have gone out of their way to insult other dancers in the city, its a bit insane. *chuckles* Not to mention they tried it with me and I challenged them to a pole off, and they wouldn’t!
A few people have been trying to convince me to open my own studio already, sense I teach a few people for free already, it may be a good idea. My husband has been looking into what it would cost to start one up.
