Agree with chem about the ‘competition’ bit. Studios that operate under the perceived threat of competition are only hurting themselves, IMO

I hated knee hold for a long time due to pain. Now i can do it fine so its ok. I am not in love with how knee hold looks because i do love the long lines, BUT audiences looooooove it

Scorpio. Not only because i love long legs on the pole, but its endlessly useful. Pros even scorpio! Lol

BTW, I *do* swing my leg in twisted grip. i have not worked on it enough (in fact I have done it probably less that 20 times EVER) to deadlift or want to work on deadlifting it. My main focus is the other grips.
Because I work on it so very little and I know I’m strong enough to hold other grips, I don’t worry about swinging the leg.

It is ok because the arm is in a neutral position and is bent, so the shoulder muscles are protected and nothing is in a twisted, non neutral alignment.

I think you’re asking about a TG deadlift. Your chest is already turned upwards and you curl up and lift the legs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tE02hZfVr0c

Have you tried really warming up your back and shoulders first? That may be obvious, or maybe not. I know its something i know i should do, but i dont usually. Lol.

ooh–superman to shouldermount to cupid??

Well, im sitting ony couch as i reply so take that FWIW, lol. What do you mean by no hands allegra? Top hand is not on the pole? Are you starting allegra at the top of the pole?
Could you go into scorpio from it then jamilla, side climb, cupid? Though it would probaly be the same space issue…again, i am on my couch. Post a vid if you have one!

Aerial dancing is worth every penny.

So much of what we consider flexibility training has little to do with our muscles. This is a little known fact! We all carry tension in different areas of our bodies, so tight hamstrings for instance, could actually be due or inhibited by neck tension. Neural mobility and fascia tension is often the cause of being ‘stuck’ and not seeing increases in flexibility, even though you’re stretching.

ditto. it takes soooo much time and practice to get ‘what you think you look like’ and ‘what you actually look like’ to match up.

Clearly i have no idea what is involved but…i would love a notification button on here instead of emails. Some emails have the post in the, some dont, and either way i click back to here to either read and / or respond to it, so on site notifications would be awesome!
