On that point you are propably right, but I hope it won’t come as far as that the different styles will be completely be seperated from each other and the more sexy style dancers are considered to be dirty. I think that would definately be a step in the wrong direction!

Chem, the German championships are so asexual it’s really boring.
(I think even squatting in front of the pole means loosing points)

In a few years when I hopefully run a well going studio I’ll set up a comp like Michelle Shimmy (?) is planning where heels are mandatory and you need to take off at least one clothing item.

    Hi!

Maybe you should have a look at a teacher training program like XPert or discoveries dance!

I would also love to teach one day so I took the XPert course and I can tell you, it was really good! I learned a lot, especially about spotting and educational technique plus had a lot of fun and made some new friends https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

My legs aren't straight and they are pretty short and I have these bumps on my thighs (in Germany we call them riding breeches, I don't know if there's a word for that phenomenon in English as well )which sometimes bothers me.

BUT – that's a good excuse to get me new heels every now and then https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

(Cause in heels I like my legs much better)

I think you already know what to do 😉
You just need to have the balls to do it!

I too find this painful at the tummy and I don’t have kids and only did it on spinny.

    Thank you both!

I got home from hospital yesterday and will try later on what I can do on the pole…

I already made a list on what to try / practice:

    – arms-only-climb

    – flag

    – jamilla

    – pull up crunches

    Any other ideas?

What really bothers me though is, that I was working really hard on my splits (I've even had some privates with a professional contorsion trainer), and this is what I definatly can't do at the moment so that'll throw me back again so bad 🙁

Thank you… But we had to cancel our trip because I broke my leg 🙁
I had already made arrangements with the studio in Zadar…

Yes, that’s one of my absolute favorites! I love watching the Australian competitions. They just know how to entertain. And I love that the performances are usually sexy and the outfits are awesome!
Need to travel there one day…

They even had my me put my mighty grip in the clear cosmetics bag – because it’s in a little bottle (iTac as well, of course).
That was on the flight back. No one cared on the flight before. I guess it just depends on who you have to deal with.

When I got my pole, my boyfriend played on it a bit and did handsprings right away…

He doesn’t do any sports, that makes it even worse.

I know what you mean. Everytime I see myself on video I feel like a hippotamus https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

For me I noticed that I should definetly work on keeping my toes pointed all the way (I seem to forget at a certain point). Also, extending the legs slower and later seems to make a difference.

I know how you feel… I was so scared of doing extended butterfly that I thought I would never get it (and with that all the other pretty stuff like Ayshe etc), but two weeks ago it just happened and I don't know even why! I suddenly just did it and it felt like I have been doing it all my life.

And that's how a lot of things in pole seem to happen (at least for me), so just keep practicing and it will happen one day and you won't know why https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
