I usually use kitchen cleaner. I thought if it’s getting the stove off of grease, it would work for the pole as well. And it does!

Thanx for sharing this great video, chem! I'll work on that!

Mary Ellyn, if you ever consider making a video of different methods to get up, then please let me know! That would be so helpful!

Melt, that's a great idea as well! I'm having a problem with the V though. I can lift my thighs to the chest, but then I can't go further. I guess my butt is too heavy and my head too light or something… Even when I'm doing the basic invert and then put my knees into the tuck invert position, I turn back to land on my feet! When I extend my legs I stay inverted tough, so there might be a little hope that I figure out how it works sometime https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

My greatest problem is definetly coordination. It took me several hours to figure out how to do body rolls, but I it's very seldom that I can't do a move because of missing strength.
In Germany we have a word for people who are just unable to pick up moves and who have a lack of coordinating their limbs. You know, people who turn left in a gymnastics class when everone else turns right. Translated it would be Body-Claus. That's what I am https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif

    Mary Ellyn:
Yes, by this time, I'm learning at home. I'll start a workshop next week, but I discovered that I can learn very well at home (usually I practice together with a friend so we'll give feedback to each other which is very good).
I meant landing on my knees… I mostly find it looks awkward… And I don't want to do the same move everytime.
You're so right by saying it's hard to find dancing/floorwork videos. Unfortunatly I'm not able to do all that cool aerial stuff (just started to invert), so I'm pretty much stuck to the ground at this timehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif

corbyOconnor: Thanks for these great inspirations! These girls are really nice to watch.

I tried the spinning-get-up yesterday and discovered that I probably need to work on pull-ups for one more week to get it done https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Wow – how cheap they are in the US!
They come about twice as much in Germany!

I have to say though, I have really narrow feet and I need all my Pleasers to be even more narrow!

We have about 1,50m around and it seems to be enough.
Even my boyfriend who is about 1,80m didn’t hit anything yet.

Yeah, using spins to get up would be really great! Do you know any videos where I can watch that? I like the way this girl does at 00:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cVlaUswaBg
This one definetly is on my To-Learn-List.

I sounds so easy when you say bring your feet together underneath you… But for example, when I land from a front or back hook, in my eyes it looks so stupid when I'm doing that! Do you know a video where someone does that looking nice?

Using the momentum from the spin to stand up doesn't work for back hook spins, or am I just too stupid?

    OMG!

I guess I'm gonna be too embarrassed to show you what I'm working on…

Actually one of my goals is to pick one song every month and set up a little routine – I started today and recorded the 2nd and 3rd try – but the result was either sad or funny, I'm not sure if I sould cry or lough..
Another goal is to do the splits, but since I'm sooooo far away from doing them, this would definetly be a very sad video. I don't want to make anyone cry… or lough at me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

    Try this:

Try to figure out how much more time you usually need than you thought. Twice as much? More?

Then go ahead and add even a little bit more.

For example, I think, I would need 1 hour for something, but in the end, it turned out that it took me 3 hours. So for a goal I will give myself 4th the time I thought I would need by the first time I considered the goal.

Then, go ahead and split the time and the goal in many little pieces so you have daily, weekly or monthly

My pet / street name would be Maxi Old Castle (translated the street name). I definetly won’t go with this…
My favorit movie character is Poison Ivy and my granny’s maiden name is Sun Spring (also translated). But any Kombination of these words also sounds very stupid.

    Hi!

I stopped to use regular (hair-) cosmetics when my hair started breaking andere looking all messed up. Fortunatly, in Germany, natural cosmetic id a really big thing and you can buy it almost everywhere. But sometimes, I like mixing my own conditioner. Here’s my recipe:

1 teaspoon it honey, stirred into
3 teaspoons of warm oil (almond, avocado, argan, coconut, sheabutter, … You can mix them)
    1 teaspoon of hydrogenated keratine
1 teaspoon of concentrated aloe vera
    1 teaspoon of panthenol
Plus, if you like, add a little bit of your favorite conditioner, but one without silicones!
You should get the ingrediants at any pharmacy.
The conditioner works better with heat, that will Open the hair structure and make it get deeper into it.
For extra shine, use, after rinsing, a so called “sour rinse”:
1 part of a mild vinegar (Apple for example)
9 parts of cold (!!!) water
This will close the hair structure and will give really nice shine!
