I’m a public school teacher. I keep everything pole completely separate on fb. I even try not to post my face in pole pix even tho it’s on my separate pole page. Some might find that overly cautious but It’s not necessarily the admin thats a prob. There are always angry parents that will find anything wrong with the teacher or school instead of trying to encourage or help their child. Especially as a non tenured teacher I can’t take that risk. I was told by a principal once that he didn’t care abiuy my poling and understands, but if it was easily accessible info on the web(like in a google search) he wouldn’t hire me.

    Good luck!

I still use this quick clip of Natasha Wang's. I know hers starts in the shoulder mount and flips over into what she calls a "Shotgun mount", and then flips back to shoulder mount.  But it might help you for now. I've been practicing the shotgun part of it separately as it is more of a swing as opposed to a lift.

Looks great! In the picture you referenced, she's not doing it no-handed; she has her hands on the pole "above" her head like a bridge.  Maybe try that for security!

I usually recommend buying a size down for dance shoes (be it pole shoes or other dance shoes). You want them to fit snugly, but not tight.  I'm an 8 .5 and love my Pleaser size 8 shoes.

If you see shoes online that you like, I always recommend going to a store like Lover's Lane to just try on a pair of that brand there (Pleaser, Ellie, etc.). That way you can get a feel for the sizing. Then go back online and order them.
