Shmz!! I now have a definite reason to come to Japan. My family loves Japan, my daughter has been there several times teaching and visiting and we have hosted almost 15 students now. It sounds like you started out like I did but kudo's to you for making it work and spreading the majic of pole. This is a wonderful thread!!

42 and just starting to be consistent with pole, started when I was 40 with my first class. I've found Alethea Austin's flexability dvd's to be fabulous. The one thing I find is that I just don't have the hormones available to build the muscle the way I used to so diet is very important and getting enough protein for muscle building and recovery. I don't do powdered supplements but am talking with Nic Judd, (like him on facebook) Zoraya's husband for help. He's great about answering nutrition questions on there. I think we will get to the point where we see Senior's comps. I personally think the uspdf should have the professional, amature, and over 40 division in competition. I've got great smoothie and green drink recipies if anyone wants them as well.

I feel your pain, having moved out here with no close studios I took the money and put it into a year on Veena, I love it, I have made a studio of sorts out of the apt next door and you are welcome to come pole with me anytime. If you need a pole friend in Chatt I'm very much a beginner but was thinking about putting a car pool together to Nashville for March 30th as well to take a class from Alethea Austin who will be in town on the double trouble tour. Veena has been the best class environment yet. When I was taking classes in Utah, there were always girls in the open class who were more advanced and I was trying things my body just wasn't conditioned enough or ready to do yet. I"m in Red Bank and I usually pole in the evenings. There's room for another one in there. 🙂

I'm in Chattanooga and have been looking for any comps in the southern region. The Ms Pole TN will be done for the first time in Memphis. Other than that I think Atlanta had some comps. There's not alot in this region overall.

I created a board but that's as far as its gotten. Pole popularity is growing on pintrest.

You will get it back. You've got a studio so you have the space, just don't push yourself too hard. You would probably give your students a ton of credit…give yourself some too. Have a good cry and take it a little slower, it will come in time. Sorry my other posts were a bit off the mark. Reading too many threads at once.

These would apply for any reason, not just pregnancy. I'm getting back after a long break as well. Working on building strength too 🙂 Have found them to be helpful.
