Hey!! Way to go!! I am still getting there too, slowly little by little, at first it was touching my toes, now it's almost getting my face down on the floor with my splits, but it doesn't happen, I stretch daily, even when I don't pole. I do it while watching tv or folding laundry, wheneva I can……just keep at it and believe in yourself! it does get easier 🙂 I think I jumped up and down when I could finally touch my toes!!!

MemberMarch 27, 2011 at 2:30 pm in reply to: I have NO waist… Anything I can do about it?I have the same issue! no waist and no hips……but on the upside, Though I am kind of shaped like a boy, I kind of love the way that it gives me a booty 🙂 And on the upside, I haven't really changed jean sizes since high school. Sometimes it's hard because the ones blessed with hips can really emphasize movements and clothes just fit better on them, but I have learned that no matter what size we are we can do anything, and feel beautiful………..The one thing I did learn is that working the obliques and the transverse abdominals will actually give a little bit more of a cut in hour glass figure. I was recommend by one of my sister Veeners the ab ripper p90x, and I have to say, I have noted a difference in my shape………

Thank you both so much for your answers!!! You have given me some relief and hope too! And now I understand the physiology behind the anatomy of my abdominal muscles!! I am going to incorporate all the exercises you both recommended! thank you so much again for taking the time respond, I appreciate it so much! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Being heavily involved in the HR department of the military I would check the code of conduct for your particular branch of the military. (( I don't want to know which one, nor do I want you to tell me). Depending on your branch it can be seen as misconduct and could lead to a court martial if you are caught "flying under the radar". I do love and am obssessed about poling myself, however I rather be in the comfort of people learning so I can take a tumble or stand there to fiugre out a move without having to worry about patrons. ……There are great networks online that can help you until you are finished your tour of duty. Whatever you choose, you have to make a decision for yourself, because only you can make yourself happyhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif. We are all sister polers and we have to support each other!

The link for the sugaring vid I used is this:

I will say it again….I love love love this, compared to shaving, waxing and laser hair removal!

Just tried sugaring!!! The recipe is farely straight forward, I used the link as posted above. I had no trouble getting the right texture for the wax. My fingers were stuck together at one point and I almost pee'd myself laughing~then unstuck myself with warm water hahahhah…..after that I practiced on my leg (which worked wonders), then I practiced on my very loving hubbie (thank you honey!) before going for the nether-region. On a pain factor it was about a 3-4 but on a workability factor it was super easy, just have to stretch a bit before and figuring out the right positions. I also noted that having a little bit longer hair made it come off easier! I am definately going to stick with this! It took all of 5 bucks to make vs. 90 for salon wax and 350 for laser. Pain is waaaaay lesss, vs waxing (which trying to find a good waxer is few and far between) and laser (which look like someone hit me with a baseball bat and so much brusing from front to back that I couldn't barely sit for 2 weeks). *The only thing I would recommend is pouring it into a resealable container for cooling so you can reuse it!*

I am right there with you……I see so many neat things that these amazing ladies can do and then I feel so bad cause I can't do them. But even after the first week I noticed I tiny difference in my strength and the way I do things……..Nothing is wrong with you, cause then there would be something wrong with all of us who just started……..The beginning is always the hardest from there it can only get better……..at least thats what I keep telling myself. Luckily there is an wonderful community filled with the support of polers of all kinds 🙂 yippee!!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
