    Looks beautiful!! Thanks sooooo much!

    22. Flirty Fireman replacing Front Hook Spin??just checking – think Veena recorded front hook spin or is that same as flirty fireman but flirty fitted space better??

I love the font and the colours and design; it’s really easy to read and looks gorgeous.

    Thank you again talented Allyson!

Build up tolerance over time. I used to get dizzy after 10 seconds!
If you are dizzy you can help to reset your inner ear fluid by looking hard close up at the pole, then the ceiling, then the pole again. Breathe. Centre yourself. Make a pretty shape very slowly to give yourself a break, just standing tall and pointing a foot whilst doing something wafty with an arm looks nice while you get yourself together, or kneeling down or doing body waves whilst looking at the pole are all tricks I use if I get dizzy in a freestyle.

Go round the other way, a few pirouettes will do, you don’t have to do a spin trick the other way if already dizzy.

Some people let their gaze soften and stare at nothing when spinning, others look at a fixed thing – the pole, or their wrist or something. See what works for you.

Extend out to slow a fast spin – put your arm or leg out and exhale – if you can touch the floor with a foot or arm to slow it use fingertips and touch gently otherwise the pole can throw you off!

Yeah! We should talk it up and post the graphic before that though so people know it us coming, like what kino and beach yoga girl are doing with their yoga challenge for Jan going up today.

Colours – the Veena brand is purple, is there a specific shade?

Just seen Runemist’s suggestion #SVback2basicpole’ and I think that’s the best so far!

I think people searching for beginner pole moves will be unlikely to find anything using any of the tags so far, but users can individually tag their posts. #beginnerpoletrick or #polebeginnermove or whatever as well as the name of the move eg #polefireman #firemanspin if they want to attract the attention of IG users new to pole searching for inspo.

However actually calling it a ‘beginner’ challenge I think will put off quite a few experienced dancers who might otherwise try it out. Positioning it as a ‘back to pole basics/fundamentals’ gives it wider appeal and reflects the idea that whatever stage we are at on our pole journey we can all benefit from training the core basics and working to perfect our form.

So after that long woffle I vote for ‘SVback2basics’ or ‘SVpolebasics’ because basics is less likely to be spelled wrong than fundamental!

Is it what I do here?https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/5487a5c1-cf08-4f56-a7fa-3e5e0a9aa0eb

Apparently split grip legs wide hanging down is Wonderwoman and drawing legs up straight and straddled whilst facing pole is Boomerang.

However I just call it a bracket spin with v legs.

    Pole is confusing.

Agree this isn’t just for beginners, it’s about fundamental basics. We can all benefit from chasing perfect form in the basics. Just like world class ballet dancers take time every day to do basic grand plié at the barre and to improve it every day,

    #back2basicpole?
