Visually- where the back turns into the backside (male and female)
Otherwise- natural is such a turn on. Out in the woods, no make up, no hairbrush, freshly bathed from a pot of boiled water. Sitting naked on a fallen log, coold breeze drying warm skin………..
I need to do some backpacking. -
The Butterfly and Scorpio both impressed me when I started. They are so pretty! After 4 months I conceded I’d never get there; then I discovered the stickiness of chrome compared to stainless in a cold dry house! Within weeks I’d gotten those moves, the caterpillar climb, etc. Then I had a series of injuries and illness, and 7 months later I’m working to get there again!

My progress was quite slow at first, and I’ve had some setbacks with injuries- but I attribute that more to my poor physical shape rather than age. My current goal is to get to a six 6 before I hit 40. If I make it, I’m getting hot pink highlights. I’ll be the hottest poling mom in the PTA!

Welcome! Another Michigander here. Happy poling! -
Wowee! There’s some strong feelings here! Sex, religion and politics are not for polite conversation- someone told me that once. Lucky for me I am not a polite person! I just wanted to say I agree with everyone’s comments to some extent; you all made valid points. We’re all entitled to our own styles of pole, our own opinions, our own sexuality, our own hang ups, our own values….you get the point. What we are not entitled to is trying to impose these things on others. Everyone- enjoy what you do and let everyone else do the same. I LOVE the sexy side of pole, but I totally downplay that side when talking to most people because I’m trying to open their eyes and I don’t want to scare them off. I am already in the tiny monority in several categories in our conservative town- I don’t want to be burned at the stake!
I guess I just wanted to wish everyone happy poling- whether you’re wearing shorts and tennies or 8 inch pleasers and a smile. Peace!

there’s been a similar thread, try searching under "just for moms and dads".
My kids knew when they saw my husband installing the pole. I was a little uncomfortable at first, until I remembered kids are naturally accepting and nonjudgmental. They are taught to have hang ups. The 11 year olds easily accepted mom’s dance pole and even play on it. It’s exercise and fun time with them; I save the heels, floor work and sexiness for private play. My 16 year old knew what a stripper was, so he took a little more educating; I showed him "classy" pole videos and do my best to show him the athleticism in poling. He’s still a little uneasy with the idea, (ewwww- mom’s are NOT sexual) but he’s taken his friends in to see it- so now I’m possibly the coolest mom in our conservative town. I think it’s important that you teach your kids what to think of the pole, or they’ll end up buying into the steretypes out there. -
Living is unsafe; it will surely end in death

seriously, attempting any pole move (or anything in life) that you are not capable of – is unsafe.
Lesson: know your limits, be preapared, practice makes perfect, ounce of prevention, er, pound of cure, go for it, (insert motivational phrase here).I’m having a silly day here.

Welcome! Also from the D here. I was completely overwhelmed when I started poling; I was WAY out of shape. It took me months to be able to do an invert. Stick in there, it gets easier once you develop some upper body strength. Peace. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I just got a flip, and i’m gonna use it as soon as I get back into my pole groove (and convince my hubby not to freak out about posting vids).

Foxy,
Welcome back! I’ve been pretty much off the pole since July. Illnesses, dental work, muscle spasms and an "irritated bone" in my hand broke a good 6 month stride on the pole. I’ve put on 9 lbs and my pants have gotten tight. I haven’t been able to get back in the groove after each set back. But it’s a new year; we can start fresh, we’re re-viginized! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif -
If you’re taking requests for re-posts….

I had been poling for months, barely inverting. Then my hubby jumped on the pole and could instantly do the flag and other hard moves. He looked at me like I was just a wimpy little girl.

So then I started showing him some spins, the shoulder mount, plank- and I kinda enjoyed watching him fail. He can’t take the pole burn at all. My bad, but I just had to knock him down a peg. Now he respects the skill involved. -
Charley,
Next time- invite your pole peeps! Once the crowd hears us clapping, they might be willing to join in. They were probably just too afraid of what others would think if they showed their appreciation. You know they went home and fantasized about ya! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
