As someone new to the site who also works on the web my observations are more about usability than content. The content is AWESOME!
I think that most people probably land on the site via discussion or video subpages like this one. There’s a ton of good info here, but it’s not immediately obvious what kind of site you’re looking at. Even on the front page there’s no summary of what you’re looking at. Even just a tagline on the header like “The largest resource for pole fitness on the web” would help and encourage poking into the other areas. When I first landed here I thought I was on the site for an actual physical studio and assumed the content would be location-based with schedules, etc. Also, the first ad you see is for the Lil Mynx pole. Is that a better sell for you than a membership to the site? Just something to think about. I hate ads, but there’s nothing wrong with stating your value up front and making it clear a) what the user is looking at and b) what you can look at with a paid membership.
