I love the 50mm for moves that require me to hold on to the pole with my legs! Anything that requires hand grip is more difficult. I need to find ways to maybe strengthen my grip.

I can’t believe that any studio would actually implement a dress code, pretty ridiculous in my opinion. If a particular student is consistently exposing her private parts then maybe speaking to that student would be a better option. Like other members have already mentioned, unless part of their vagina is showing then I don’t see a problem. I have shown the edge of my nipple while inverting by mistake and I wasn’t even wearing anything skimpy. One of the other students kindly pointed it out and I proceded to cover it. No big deal, it’s not like they had never seen a nipple before :/. After that day I simply made sure that my tank top was placed a little higher right before going upside down. I am only into pole because of the sexiness that it brings out in me, and have stopped going to some instructors because of the lack of sassy ness in their classes/routines.. Don’t get me wrong I love the tricks and fitness part of it as well but it is not appealing to me unless you throw in the sexy moves.

Hi everyone. I am starting to get serious about pole again after taking it easy for a long while. I tried doing pole at home and it just wasn’t the same. Looking forward to attending at least once a week and hopefully freestyle again without the fear of my kids walking in on me (I am into the sexier style of pole dancing 😉

Just wanted to reintroduce myself since I have been inactive for some time now :). This website is pretty addicting so you will be seeing a lot of me from now on.

I’m having a hard time finding time for pole these days. I like to do cardio in the mornings at least 3 times a week, have started stretching twice a week. Then after work and homework with the kids I wright train with the hubby. It’s tough to fit pole in the specially since I have to warm up first or the pole is super slippery 🙁

Thank you so much ladies!  I don't love the butterfly to flatline scorpio so that is the only one that doesn't interest me much.  Going to apprentice sounds simple enough and probably looks pretty.  I will look into all the transitions and get to practice.  You guys are the best!

Thanks for the link Chem.  She is going to be offering other workshops (contortion/stretching, and aerial hoop) but I only signed up for the Pole Moves.  Excited but worried that I'm too intermediate for it!

I'm glad to hear that the dizzyness is normal and gets better.  Can't wait to actually "see" how fast i'm really going.  Must record myself today..

azblanco – I do kind of throw myself into the climb since I'm used to doing it while on static.  It will be tough to train myself not too.

Thanks for the link Veena. I will look at the videos tonight :). I will definitely record myself as well. Maybe you guys are right and it only feels like I’m spinning too fast. Its just so weird and makes me kind of dizzy. I’ve tried a few times to switch to spinning and end up so frustrated that I change my pole back to static. Will try to be more patient this tome around.

I did try that but it just felt crazy. One moment I was spinning fast and then I would almost come to a complete stop. Hoping that a lot of practice will fix this problem.

I’m actually taking a two week break from both poling and mountain biking because I am going to a beach resort for a few days and don’t want hubby to look like a wife beater lol. I’m 2 years into poling and still bruise a lot, it has gotten better but I still bruise easier than most of my pole peers. Throw in a bike fall and I look like someone beat me with a stick :D. Hey at least I’m living life doing the things I love 🙂

Yay!! I was able to do it from the gemini! Not easy but I did it. I will have to practice it until it becomes easier and then attempt from apprentice. The girls at my studio had no problem learning it from apprentice but it feels weird to me. Weird..

Thanks amy. I never thought of trying from a gemini. That might be just what I need, will try it as soon as I get home tonight.

No problem. I took the lessons for a year and will definitely take them again soon : ). My invert from the floor is strong and I can invert from a climb but it does not look pretty yet so I need more practice for sure. Thanks!
