sorry to barge in but is that exercise with toes pointed or flexed feet? One of the instructors that i train with makes us do a similar move.

wow I love figurehead. Can you explain how to get into that position? the picture is a little dark so I can’t make out the points of contact looking from my phone. Also what move can you transition into it from? Im not advanced so the hardest thing I can do are things like plank, CKR, and basic invert : ).

    Hi there : )
I’ve been poling for about 13 months now but have had my pole for about 5 months. At first I was not progressing much because I was only going to the studio for one hour a week. It wasn’t until I got my own pole that I started to feel stonger faster. I still have a long way to go but my basic invert is pretty strong now. I personally don’t like to wait until i perfect a trick or spin to move to the next, instead I like to move on and then come back to the older tricks, by then I find them a lot easier since I have gotten a bit stronger. Everyone is different though, you will soon figure out what works for you.

Do you guys take a multivitamin with iron? I started taking centrum cardio which has less iron than the average vitamin and it has made a huge difference. I used to bruise every single time I poled and now I only bruise if I truly hurt myself.

I must say that I loved Shiva Rea. I only got to do the basic option on saturday and it was a little too beginner for me but I love her style! I will hopefully get to do another section either today or tomorrow but I can already tell that I will enjoy this dvd. Thanks ladies!

I just had to add that although strengthening exercises are vital to recover from any back injury, it is very important that we stay away from doing the move that caused the problem in the first place, at least until the pain has gone away.

so….I recorded myself with the webcam on my laptop and the quality wasn’t so bad, a little blurry when doing fast spins but the rest of the time it looks great. It was the first time ever seeing myself on video and I already spotted a million things that I need to improve. I think that I will start recording myself onve a week from now on.
