I’m not very patient with youtube but that might be my best bet until I can do more research on the different dvds out there. Thanks!

The bruising will get better as you learn but will keep happening if your normally bruise easily like I do. Wearing shorts out is a thing of the past for me lol but its so worth it!

I don’t think its weird at all, do whatever you think might help. I have danced 3 times for hubby already and still avoid practicing in front of him.

Thanks amyxshi! I thought that I could’t view the member’s profile because I had limited membership or something. I do everything in a hurry so I guess I didnt read the error message and just assumed. Thanks again!

I got a reply to my email about this but can’t go to the person’s profile to send a message back because I’m a non member at this time : (. Maybe I will get your attention through here again….
I’m still a beginner but already have moves like the superman, sunwheel, fan kick, extended fireman, corkscrew (not perfect), and others along the same level. I can also do the basic invert but not consistently. Do you think that I would still benefit fromt the beginner dvd?
I really hope you get to read this https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif THanks a bunch!

I work with too many men and feel that I will get too much negative attention if they all find out. Even with my family I keep the sexy part out though, I don’t feel the need to talk about that side of it with them. My friends are a different story, they’re only interested in the sexy side of pole dancing and think its super cool that I’m sticking with it LOL

I know how you feel, the same used to happen to me when I used to take one class a week. By the time the next week came around I could only do basic stuff. I still only take classes twice a week for one hour at a time but have started working out at home. I am really really busy since I work full time, and have two kids with a husband that works until at least 7 pm but I have found ways to sneek some conditioning exercises into my day. Most of my workout happens while I’m cooking, I stir whatever is in the pot and throw myself on the floor for a set of pushups, get up and stir the rice and go back down for the second set, and the cycle goes on and on https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif . My mom thinks I’m crazy but I don’t have time to do it any other way and it works!!! Doing lots and lots of push ups has helped me a lot with my poling, 2 hours a week is just not enough for me to progress.

I could not climb or pole sit for a while because the studio that i go to doesnt teach those things in the normal level classes. It wasnt until i got a chance to take one of the other random classes that i was taught to climb properly. I did get a pole a few months ago and now climbing is super easy. Practice often even if you can only do it for a short time and you will get better fast.

for me the problem is getting into the position. I think i will only get it when my inverts are completely controlled. Can u do the basic invert without any momentum?

I felt welcome from the minute i started posting , everyone is so nice and helpfull! -
Lizbeth- I’m uploading a vid for you right now and I hope it helps and inspires you! I was challenged to make a vid with no show-off moves! No spins, inversions, trick or anything! The challenge was to just dance! I loved every minute of it! The ending is a bit sketchy, since I had never heard the song before, and I had no idea when the song was going to end! HA! I downloaded it at random as it was free! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I hope your poling journey continues to challenge you and encourages you to grow as a free spirit!
I loved your video! and only wish I was that flexible https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_idea.gif Thanks so much for sharing, I have to go practice now. My performance is tonight and I will freestyle so I need to refresh my memory a few times during the day so that I won’t totally go blank and not know what to do https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
