Little swift I enjoy spinning pole now! It use to be something I didn’t care for, that’s a great goal.
If you are using the lessons at all remember you will find spinning pole options at the end of each spin lesson or at the end of the BONUS pole lessons!

Jihaleh has good advice!
For now if you want to go through the take off program again you can. If you find you enjoy planning your own workouts go for it. Or pick a warm up then 2 or 3 moves to work on for that day. Add in some strength or conditioning at least 2 times a week and you’re good to go. You could try out the 30 day flow program or 30 day flexibility program too!
Building strength takes time and learning these moves isn’t something that happens in a month. You’ll find your body will take to some moves faster than others.

You are definitely not alone I get it! It’s so annoying lol

I would love to know if there’s recipe for that too!
I do have a recipe that works great to make you tacky for pole when mixed with Mighty grip powder
2 tbsp Vegetable Glycerin
4 tbsp Water
1 tsp Vodka, as preservativeDump everything into a spray bottle and shake.
I spray it on my legs and hands then add might grip powered over it. Works so great on any finish.

I hope you don’t mind but I shared your last comment to my Instagram story. Made my day! It’s anonymous, but if you want me to tag your IG I sure can 😉

Amelia, great idea for short pole users, I like it! For a beginner this might be too much of an upper body challenge though. When climbing we use our legs a lot to lift as well, not just the upper body. I know the basic pole climb is placed first in the lessons, but only as a strength building option. A good climb will use the legs and often if a plus size dancers has trouble with the basic, I’ll teach them the performance climb instead. 🙂
Here are 2 different climbs:
The basic pole climb is for strength building, this uses the upper body more. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/54c44c66-abbc-4646-ab78-7ef80a9aa0ebThe performance climb is the most used climb and is great for performing and dancing in general. Here the focus is using the legs just as much as the arms. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/50fd8f5a-d024-4cbb-a4df-74830ac37250

Hi! I’m so glad to hear you’ve been enjoying pole so far! I’ve never stuck with anything this long in my life lol
After the 30 day take off head over to the beginner section and starting right at the first lesson.https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/beginner-pole-lessons Remember all of the beg. inter. and adv. lessons are listed in the order in which to try them. It’s not random. Think of those individual lessons as self guided programs.
Also the climb may seem boring, BUT it along with the pole sit will be super important as they become transition moves for cool tricks. Not moving up the pole in a climb isn’t a big deal, it’s understanding it and moving into crucifix that is super helpful.
Can you do a pole sit and climb? If so try some of the routines here. When looking at the routines check the related lessons to see what moves I’ll be using. Then you can see if it’s right for you.

Sexy pole strength routine https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/59a77509-3878-441f-9f6f-3399ac110005As far as spinning pole, yes, it will change the dynamic of the moves you’ve learned, I introduce spinning pole in the beginner section. Once you can pole sit and climb you’ll see some more challenging beginner combos at the top of the bonus pole move section. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/0be46ea6-80df-11e4-8790-22000aa50c0d
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi! That’s totally normal and you might even see some bruising later.
Here’s something that will help prevent unnecessary pain this. My rule for working on new tricks is limit yourself to about 10 attempts per side, 20 mins is a long time to work on one move. If you keep working on the same move over and over, chances are you will only make yourself sore and sometimes all we need is to step away, let our brain absorb what we just learned and try later in the week.

AdministratorJanuary 1, 2020 at 1:45 am in reply to: Best finish pole for pole silks and beginner!?Hi there, welcome to he site. This is such a tricky one to answer…the pole you sure get is the one you can afford. So much affects grip. Climate, skin, your pole space. Just know that for the most part you can find a grip aid that will help you with any pole finish. The most common finishes I hear people complain about are chrome (but I think most buy chrome to start) and powder coated. I have every finish and love brass the most, then powder coated, SS, TG and last chrome. I have dry to normal skin and have lived in humid, cold, dry and hot climates. Brass and PC have been the most consistent.

AdministratorDecember 31, 2019 at 4:41 am in reply to: Question for Veena on Three Of Her Stretching Routines!Hi Colleen! Hope you’re having a nice holiday. It’s a good decision to do the program instead even though you’re not new to stretching. Sticking with something is the first step as you mentioned, but also remember that every time you dance use your full range of motion. Don’t skimp on elongating movements just to work on a new move. I have seen wonderful gains by training this way. I see a lot of people work on moves without being mindful of creating length so keep that in mind.

I have both bees knees and the old version of mighty grip knee pads. I like them both.
