Wow great job! I know you’ve been wanting to get that Shoulder mount. Don’t worry its really common to accomplish a move in front of others and then be unable to do it again. That happen to me with the twisted grip handspring, I was jamming with Fleur and I was going on about how I just can’t get this move and I’m like "watch" and I got it!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif LOL I did it a few time after during my visit with her….but couldn’t do it the next few days https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I think sometimes when were practicing by ourselves we over think the move and get a mental block. #1 reason…. The Members, yes you guys…you should all be proud! Its you guys that make us all want to come back and see what going on every day. This topic is a great example, you all let me share my feeling and were supportive but now have turned it into a positive. awwww thanks you guys. Somedays its just hard, my sister and cousin both just "friended" me on facebook a few days ago. Its been bothering me….I don’t know why because I told my sister its to promote SV? so I’ve been struggling with the silent (my family just ignores any issues they have with each other) disapproval of my pole dance and my lack of religion from my whole family. Its hard to feel like you don’t belong anymore. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I can’t talk about anything of this matter with family because they don’t want me doing it in the first place. I know first hand how hard it can be dealing with close minded people. I think thats why this guy got to me today, being an outsider in a family is never fun and sometimes it bugs me more than other times. I want every pole dancer to realize weather they want to learn to pole, buy a pole or meet like minded people SV is the place you go!! blaah blaah, whats with me today getin all long winded LOL. second post….I don’t know what’s worse: the men with no standards who pay for stuff like this, thus removing the incentive for the women to improve, or the women who just mail it in by copycatting everyone.

The superman spin is kinda one of those "trust yourself" moves. I recommended having the superman down really well before trying the spin. There will be a drop as you let yourself fall down into the move, so a good strong grip is a must! Keeping the inside arm waist level and making sure the pole contacts the legs up high on the inner thighs. Getting over the fear that your gonna smack your face if you fall is the hardest part. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
So my advise for getting into the superman…I like to do it by kind of a flip of the hips. So… say your in a gemini position…then you will place the arm closest to the ground so your inside arm below your body on the pole…press yourself up… and the other arm goes above your hooked leg…press with the arms so your holding most of the weight on just your arms then flip your hips so they are facing down. Using your arms to press and hold your self away from the pole slightly with make the flip less painful. Good for you!! Learning to pole dance can be quit intimating, it’s truly is a mental and physical challenge. I think that’s what draws us to it and gets us hooked….that feeling of OMG I can’t believe I DID IT!!!
