Andrea, you think you need to lose weight? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Your a beautiful girl!! I bet if you took the snuggie off while you danced you’d lose 5lbs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif Ok that was just silly. Please don’t try any of the fad diets most of them require you to cut out something….that’s not good. Choosing to be Vegan or Vegetarian is perfectly fine. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif Just don’t do it as a way to lose weight. Everyone pretty much said all I would have said….so thanks guys https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif you all gave great advice and saved me a heap of typing. LOL. One more thing….don’t forget about alcoholic beverages, soda and energy drinks…..you can add a lot of calories to your diet by consuming beer and high calorie girlie https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_smurfin.gif drinks. Oh and I think some one mentioned this but eat sloooow it takes about 20 min for your brain and stomach to get together and say "hey wait a minute we’re full!" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif
I always say…Everything in moderation. Even poling hehe.

Hey….This is a site about support https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Calling any woman a derogatory name is rude! We as ladies are waaaay to quick to pass judgment on one another!!!
In ANY and EVERY work place there are people who are great at their job and then there are people who hardly make an effort. I just don’t like the word stripper…..thats just me. I don’t even know why https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif LOL. Its sooo true that you don’t need a pole at all to be an amazing dancer. Have any of you tried my booty moves out yet?? They’re not easy right? Learning how to move and control your body…crawling included!….its not easy.
One more thing I want to point out…I was talking about the difference (for me) between a stripper and a exotic dancer….One being a perosn who looks like she doesn’t care. Well I feel that with ANY job weather its working at McDonald’s or at fine restaurant. If your not happy at your job it will show. Please ladies don’t think I was implying that the girl who looks like she doesn’t care is "trashy" for lack of a better term. I was only trying to describe the definition of the two words in my mind. As I write this I feel I should just get over my dislike of the word stripper. I truly feel that we ladies are amazing… lets support each other!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -

AdministratorMarch 24, 2009 at 4:12 am in reply to: trying to convince parents pole dancing isn’t skanky!Hey Neke girl….I felt really sad when I read that you were upset by some of the posts. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I have a huge amount of respect for exotic dancers. I think exotic dancers are true performers which YOU ARE. I love the videos you have posted!! In my mind a woman can take off every shred of clothing….dance buck naked and she is still and Exotic dancer NOT stripper. The women in the clubs are true pros…they work set after set there is a difference (in my mind) between the "stripper" who looks uninterested and just takes it off and an exotic dancer. The Exotic dancer performs!! Captures you, makes girls want to be her and men well…turn into a puddle of mush…LOL I think you can tell when a woman is doing it for the wrong reason.
One more thing Neke…there is actually a LOT of other exotic dancers on the site. I think most of them are too busy to post one the forum though. lol We do love and respect you!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif -
Just wanted to let you all know I believe the Pole Aerobics pole is also the peekaboo and electra!!! Same crappy pole screwing women out of money https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif

I rent too and have carpet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif I haven’t come up with a good solution yet. I get A LOT of rug burn on my feet knee butt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif ….LOL I would love to do more floor work but……theres only so much rug burn I’m willing to deal with. If you figure something out let me know. I have thought about putting a office chair plasic mat thing under but that still doesn’t give much space to do floor work. Also depending on the pole it might not be safe unless you cut a hole for the pole.

Awww thanks, for your sweet complement. I had thought it would be fun to do for the hubby at first too! But the day I put up my own pole I knew it would really be for ME! LOL Its a wonderful work out and self esteem builder. The only bad thing is my poor husband rarely gets to see me pole dance for him https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif ….I’m to pooped from the pole work out I had that day. hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Welcome to the site! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Oh my I hope your ok!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif Personally I think the "pole mats" are kinda spendy. If you want a pole mat making one yourself like Kerrie suggested it a great and fun option. You could also pull the cushions off your couch…those tend to be even MORE cushy than mats you buy. Take care of that noggin https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

I do have strength building moves you can do with your pole on my online lesson vids! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_elephant.gif *toots her own horn* LOL. Pole dancing takes a lot of practice and strength. If your sore from the day before then don’t work on spins or moves the next day…you want your muscles to recover….but you could work on flexibility by just dancing around to get your heart rate up a bit and then stretching. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif If you have questions the girls here have some great advice and are always ready to support a fellow poler! One more thing PLEASE be careful with that pole…..its not meant to handle much as far as tricks go. I have heard many stories of this pole falling, bending and damaging the ceiling. Be safe…be gentile with that pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

May I ask what videos you are trying to learn from?? If they are me lesson videos than… you know your always welcome to ask me questions about a move. If I have time I will also meet you in the chat room with my cam on and walk you though a move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Offering to pay some one only 8 dollars for what would be a private lesson is a little insulting. If some one did accept and 8 dollar an hour payment RUNNNN…. any person qualified to instruct wouldn’t accept that amount…..unless they were a friend or doing it as a favor. The reason pole studios charge so much?? Well lets think about it.. they have a building to maintain heat and cool, they have instructors that know what there doing (hopefully) and can help you if you fall and will provide feedback. Instructors work hard and deserve to be respected for their work. If pole dancing is something you want to learn than paying for lessons is not a waste of your money.
There’s nothing wrong with looking for a friend to pole jam with and learn from….I think that can be FUN https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif but if you want safe and proper instruction then anyone who would accept 8 bucks an hr is not some one I would want to learn from. Proper form is a must to prevent injury!! To be clear though, if your only looking for a friend to pole with than cool https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif you shouldn’t have to pay them….but anyone who will accept such a small payment for their service???…. I would be REALLY careful about them. I would hate to see you get hurt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif
