I have tried everything https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif …..but never a Brazilian wax… and only the at home kits. So here is my experience with at home hair removal…..PAIN https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif they have only hurt and never gotten all the hair. I ended up with bleeding bald patches among all the hair that was still left. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I was not a happy camper. I had the same issue with the creams and nice bright red rash to go with my sexy new patchy look. LOL I just shave now. I like to use a mens razor and hair conditioner…yes conditioner, the cheap stuff works great. I like it better than using shaving gel.

Hey…I’m a beginier and ofc lookin for the right pole which is taking me a while…
1.The room my pole will be in is 9ft.5 which is 286 cm does the Xpole have a certain height limit? The X pole can accommodate a ceiling up to 9ft. If your ceiling is taller that 9ft you will need to buy an extension. I have one of my X poles extended to 12ft. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif its great!!

The standard US size pole is the 2in (50mm) I"m not sure what other countries consider standard? If its just for home exercise and have fun then go with the smaller pole it will fit a smaller hand better. BUT if you want to possibly compete or dance else where I would chose a standard 50mm size. Hope that helps you. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

No worries….no matter what shape, weight, male or female you can began pole dancing. Its a wonderful exercise and it can make you feel pretty darn sexy too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I always recommend that new polers start with some strength training. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif I have strength training as part of the online lessons. Its very important to have proper form and to build up your strength to prevent injury. Enjoy your body and enjoy your pole!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I really only free style but I have occasionally created a routine. I like to pick my song and then listen to it over and over through out the day or days. It has to be a song I really like or has some type of meaning to me….(a song might speak to me on Monday and I might hate the thing by Friday) LOL but anyway first pick a song you really love. Pick 2 or 3 favorite spins and depending on your level add 1 combo spin. Pick 3 inverts and 1 combo again depending on your level. Then add 2 transitions and a hold or two. Write it all down on some paper or your computer. Practice the moves you’ve chosen and then decide on the order you would like to do them in. My suggestion would be begin with the more difficult first and then end with somethin fancy too!! One more thing pick a short song. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

AdministratorFebruary 25, 2009 at 4:51 am in reply to: I think I’m going to be off the pole for a while/permanentlyGlitterrrrr * I say in a mom voice* You are not going to quit! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif While there is nothing wrong with taking a break, I don’t think you should quit…. I have seen your videos remember??? and there is nothing wrong with the way you dance or the speed of you progress!!! You need to STOP comparing yourself to everyone else. Yes some dancers seem to accelerate at lightning speed….but you have to think about WHY they have progressed so quickly. As you know pole takes tons of strength and that doesn’t happen over night! Some of us have been involved in other activities before we got into pole that had prepared our bodies for how physically demanding this is. You have come into pole dance as a blank slate. You have the added challenge of having to build your strength from the ground up. It takes some people 6 month to over a year to even have the strength to invert.
As far as Youtube goes… well….forget them all the important people *wink* are right here. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif Just post on here you know we love ya girlie. Trust me I get my fair share of people saying really hurtful things on my youtube vids. ranging from being a terrible mother, get breast, learn how to dance, you have no ass, OLIVE OIL (you know popeye’s lady) and many more. People are mean and unhappy.
I might add more later but a had to respond. Don’t make me come over there.. I know where you live…well almost….but I could find you!! and your pony too!!

I had just finished a great pole practice and read your question so I made this little vid for you. I’m all red in the face and winded so just ignore that. LOL….Ok so I realized after just reading your first post again that you probably weren’t trying to do this one handed…but I’ll post this anyway. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif
To strengthen grip and shoulders you can also do what I call POLE UPS haha. this will also help prepare you for climbing too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
