Awww man that sucks. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif I never trust the stud finders. They wont work on plaster…theres too much other stuff up there for it to get a proper reading. I’ve put my poles in several different homes and I like the knock method. You need a latter to so you can easily reach the ceiling and simply knock on the ceiling until you here the tone change from hollow to solid!! So forget about that stud finder
PS the stud finder will not work on men! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

You can use the glasses as your prop if you want. Just be sure to write Studio Veena challenge in the title or tags so that everyone can find it. You can also write what the challenge was in the video description…..If you do that then I’ll post my vid!!!lol

Well my first ceiling was that height too…but it worked, Just wasn’t nearly as fun as my 12 ft pole I have now!!!!

The x pole cannot be used on a suspended ceiling…but its totally fine on hardwood floors https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif It will not damage ceilings either and is easy and fast to put up and take down. No screws either! I’m just over 5′ 7" myself! Sounds like you would have enough room upstairs. X pole is the best I love love love it!

Please don’t let that bother you https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops_ani.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_pirat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
There is a difference in technique for both…I began with static and feel spin is harder for ME. BUT those who learn on spin sometimes feel static is more of a challenge. Just breath deep and ignore. LOL

Hmmm depends….how tall are yo?? If your super tall with short ceilings that could be difficult. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Most ceilings are usually 7ft and over.

Yes it’s normal to have off days!! As much as a beginner who is in love with their pole hates to here it…the other ladies are right. Rest is the best thing. If you try and do heavy poling every day it will do more harm than good. When you do any type of exercise where you use your muscles to lift more than they are accustomed to…. you actually cause small tears in the muscle fibers. Don’t worry it’s normal…thats how your muscles grow…. kind of a tear and repair situation https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif So the real important part is the repair, if you don’t allow your muscle the time they need to recover or give them the nutrition they need you can end up with over use injuries and a worn out body. Its not the work out that causes muscles to grow its the recovery. It much more complex than that but you get the idea https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_idea.gif
As a beginner you don’t want to have your heavy, hard work outs in a row. If you do inverts Monday then try transitions and dancing on Tuesday. You could also use the off days to stretch, just don’t forget to warm up first. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

hmm. can my 5 seconds of wearing those glasses in my first vid count as a prop?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif so then technically i’d have fulfilled this months challenge?? coughihatepropscough. just kidding….. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif
If your glasses count then my towel should count in the last vid I did. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
