The 30-day flexibility program https://www.studioveena.com/categories/30-day-flexy/ would be a good place to start. If you do have access to cleo’s stuff, it’s a good idea to use that too. I’m not familiar with her content, but I’m guessing it’s great.
I just tried the search and put in Hamstrings and filtered for tutorials and it came up with 11 stretches and foam roller tutorials! I’ll try sharing the search results https://www.studioveena.com/?s=hamstrings&bp_search=1&view=content

I’m glad you’re enjoying the new website. We no longer offer video uploads, but you’re aways welcome to share video links. Really, most people already use another video platform, but the link sharing on here should work great.

Hi Gail, that’s great you’re getting back into pole from the start.
For rest days when doing multiple programs, you’ll want to follow my suggestions for a full rest whenever I suggest this on any program that is more focused on strength building. Here are the programs that would fall into that catigory.
30 day take off
All levels programs
invert
caterpillar
ayesha,
shoulder mount. My other programs, spin pole, heels, flow, flexibility can be more flexible as they’re not as intense.
So if I schedule an active rest day, it’s ok to do any of the these on an active rest day, as long as you listen to your body.Something else to know is that all of my programs are guidelines and you can change things as needed. They’re meant to accommodate a wide range of people. Swap out any tutorials for easier or more challenging ones, add rest days, or skip rest days, change the warm up I suggest to one you like more. The programs are meant for busy people, without a background in dance or fitness. That means that someone with more physical activity experience may want to add to any program.
If you want to explore creating your own program with my tutorials, in every description you’ll find set and rep suggestions on each individual exercise, stretch or strength routine. Oh, you’ll also see a list of muscle groups used in most pole tricks and exercises so you can cross reference for your own planning!
Does that help?

A video would be super helpful, You can either directly upload to your profile and copy and paste the link in this thread or upload a video on FB YT IG anyplace you can get a link from and copy and paste it here as well.
From what you wrote. It sounds like you might just be trying to move into the sit too quickly. Have you watched my tutorial for the Pole Sit? https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e73a77a-82b0-46ef-bf20-3d16ac110005
If you’re having trouble trying to keep the legs straight, you can do the same thing but with the knees bent. All poles spin very differently, some you need more sweep of the leg and others almost nothing. Again seeing you attempted it would be very helpful.
Here’s another video that might be helpful https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/60d26886-1dd4-40c1-8aa5-1f3fac110005

It’s hard to tell from the angle of the photo but I think you’re a bit too close to the pole and high up on the thigh.
Try placing the pole farther from the hip crease, towards the thigh. If you’re doing it from the squat make sure your torso is not too close to the pole. Being too close will reduce your leverage.
It should look like this…. I’m leaning back away from the pole creating an angle with my upper body.
Let me know how it goes!

That’s an incredible picture, you have so much talent.
PS one of my favorite songs to play on guitar is Hallelujah.

As long as you have a feeling that you “should” be at a certain point, and this goes for everything, even life. You’ll have to deal with feelings of not being enough, or behind.
Take a few minutes and write down what your motivation is for learning to pole dance? Is it for fun, to stay fit, to compete to prove something to others or yourself, or reach a certain level? If you feel it’s to reach a certain level then ask yourself why you want this? Understanding why we want something can help unlock things in our mind. In my opinion the most fun way to approach pole is for fun and exercise. It’s what I try to facilitate in my lessons, but I understand most people want and expect to see progress or “finish” everything here.
Learning to let go of expectations that you’ve set up in your mind can be one of the hardest things for us to do. I’ve struggled with this forever, and still do. If you can remind yourself to let go of expectation, and stay in the moment, life and pole dance can be a source of fulfillment instead of frustration.
In my personally life I can relate to feeling frustrated with slow progress because I’ve always been naturally musical. I’ve been able to play most instruments without much knowledge of them, it came easy for me. However, I started learning the guitar in Feb of 2022 and it’s been sooooo hard for me. I had started playing guitar in high school and gave up, switching to bass guitar, within a few weeks because it didn’t come easy to me like all of the other instruments. I’m still no where near what my expectations were, but I play almost every night, I just enjoy it. I’ve had to stop using the part of the guitar app that tracks progress because it was making me feel frustrated. My point is, just because we have skills in one area that would seem to translate to another, doesn’t mean it will.

Congratulations on being the first to complete the course!!!
I’ve done roughly 70 critiques at this point so that’s pretty impressive. It was a pleasure working with you!
