I love my lil mynx as well!!! Alot of poeple I talk to dont like them becasue they think they are slippery, but I stick way better to mine than the stainless ones!! There is one thing, that you cant use alcohol to clean it (if you get the powder coated color ones) like many stainless, but I found that if you wipe it down with a wet wash cloth and dry it off with a dry one, you stick like glue!!!! I reccomend the lil mynx to any pole dancer!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I noticed this a bit when I was first starting to do this. I have a Lil Mynx and I do some of the stuff described above like clean the pole and warm it up. But I have also noticed if I am straight out of the shower, I cant grip the pole with my thighs to save my life!! Its almost like I need some oil on my skin to help grip?? I also use a small amount of Dry Hands if I am really having a bad day. Another thing that works for my pole (which might not work since mine is powder/clear coated) is I take a damp wash cloth and dab my inner thighs and let it dry. Im telling you, when I do that, I stick so much it hurts!!! Weird I know. And yes, it hurts like hell. I still havent fully gotten over the pain, but it has gotten slightly better. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Happy Practicing!

Thanks for the help! I have never actually tried a shoulder mount, but that looks like it may be the easiest way to get into it. I am gonna have to try a few of these and see what comes of it. I think I will end up having an unschedualed practice tonight!! Im kind of excited to give these a try. Thanks again!

Boy I hope it gets better!!!! I have done it a number of about 6 times out of like 100 attempts… Hahahhah… It can only get better from here. As soon as I can get it good enough to fully drop my inner leg (somtimes I freak out and dont drop it completely) I will post some pics!!!

YEA!!! I finally got the Gemini 3 times this week!!! I was able to get it twice in class and once at home. Other than that, my thighs and just about everything was so sore thats all I could do!!! I kinda think I know what was wrong when I attempted it. As silly as it sounds, when I hooked my knee on the pole and let go, I would get a horrible pain of flesh ripping off and I couldnt figure out what it was. Well, after countless attempts, I realise I wasnt bending and using my leg as a lever as I should have becasue some of my ‘knee fat’ as you will, would get stuck and thats what was huring. Hahahahha… told you it sounded silly!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Thanks again for everyones help!!!!! Now I am working on the scorpio (inside leg) and that is another story…
