Veena-I use it for chair and carousal. See spin reel video. I learned it using Vertical Dance DVDs. I may switch now, though I find it harder with half-bracket.

I’m glad you brought this topic up. I learned the chair using full bracket, which I personally found easier, but after reading this I may switch to half bracket! Is there any other moves that would be better done using half bracket vs. full?

I’ve seen at least 20 pole dvds. My favorites are Vertical Dance, Art of Pole, and Leigh Ann’s. I feel the others DVDs are ok but these 3 are must haves.
Veritcal Dance- is a great one for beginners and covers lots of spins AOP doesnt have. Even though I had AOP I preferred this one to start with.
AOP- covers everything up to advance and is very detailed. Safety as well. The warm ups and body conditioning are excellent and change as you progress, as I think they should. It covers spotting as well.
Leign Ann- while not the best with instructions is good for learning how to dance and put moves together. I personally love her style so that may be another reason I like them.
Hope that helps. If have any questions about them, let me know.

The owner of the studio is on SV as well. She been pole dancing for over 7 years. She has lots of unique classes and even really advanced classes compared to most. She is passionate about pole and is really helpful. I’d suggest her in a heartbeat. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Late June on a Saturday sounds good to me. Any club will work. Grippy pole seems like a plus even if its plastic though. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Maybe the splits section could be added as your cool down? That way your already warmed up (which is best for stretching) and you will still be working out same amount of time vs. adding another thing to do.

You have over 20 years to get the splits right? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I’m sure you’ll get it sooner than that. I remember seeing a thread on here about achieving the splits and I saw one about getting it in 6 weeks, though who knows if that is possible.
