While it could be a calcium/potassium/magnesium deficiency most likely it is an over point of your toes causing muscle fatigue…lots of people actually cramp up when doing this because of the tendency to curl the toes down hard when pointing – try pointing more with the bend in your ankle and a straight line with your toes…does that make sense lol…less curling the toes down which isn’t necessary to get a pretty straight line.To stop the cramp, flex your foot by pointing your toes upward. Hope that helps somewhat. Also spinach, milk and bananas never hurt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

MemberOctober 28, 2009 at 7:48 am in reply to: Nutrition For Strong Muscles and Tendons???Many people now a days do not get enough magnesium in their diet. Mag deficiency is pretty common – you might want to look into adding more foods that are high in it. When I was a gymnast we took magnesium to help with tendinitis and bursitis that would occur as well as practicing self myofascial release. If you don’t already know about it…but you probably do since you train https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif but if not google it – rolling around on that silly foam roll is painful but boy does it really help https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

When I go from spinny to static I always have to remind myself – when in spin mode if you are doing something and you want to slow it down you lean away from the pole more…when you are closer or pull into the pole it speeds it up. If you are doing the same thing in static it may be slowing you down a bit. It’s good to practice both…I think it’s just a matter of getting used to it. I still get nauseous in spin mode though lol!

Wow…that’s so awesome CONGRATS!!!!!

This might sound weird but try dancing and doing floor work first without the pole or taping it…just dance to dance…then add in the pole…and no video…then add in the video.
Works for me…well not the video part LOL as I am terrified of video – but the dance part https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

using foam rolls are great for your muscles here is a link that shows some other areas to target…I use one after each session with my trainer and while it hurts at the time…I think my muscles actually recoup faster because of it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

If the way you pick up items you have dropped on the floor at work becomes "conversation" for the water cooler.
If you are seriously considering going into debt to get a little cabin somewhere…for your pole.
Or you scan Craig’s List for a room you could rent somewhere…for your pole.
Or you buy your husband a laptop computer so you can slowly without his knowledge attempt to remove all items from the second bedroom/office…for your pole.
Or you open up a web store for lingerie & shoes, get incorporated and all…so you can buy as many Pleasers as you want – wholesale https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

That is a nice looking war wound you have there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I have hooped for a bit – I am still not very good and it and I used to get some crazy bruises on both hips – I still get them from time to time but it is not as bad as before – so I’m guessing its kinda normal.
Charley I have the same issue with space for the hoop in my house…there is just not enough room. I though I had enough space until I was working on some arm stuff and took out a photo on the wall and clocked the doggy on the floor at the same time LOL…maybe I should just work on hips/stomach stuff…
