    Oh boy…Um….the sale…they are only 2.99!!!!

BUT I called the Encino S Factor…they said only have XL left…but at 2.99 I don’t know you might want to try some and try to shrink them?

    They have:
    Black
    Red
    Bright Green
    Olive
    Turquoise

I drive by it on my way home for work…so I will double check to make sure there aren’t any LG’s laying around. Also I will try to call the LA studio and see what they have

I always had a problem with the shoulder mount until my teacher pointed out that when I started to go up…I held my breath …lol never noticed it before – she was right I did hole my breath…she said ‘\"breathe through it – don’t hold your breath" BINGO…sounds silly but that was a HUGE help for me.

With the chopper I always tried to look at what I was doing and my head wasn’t back…also getting my pelvis as close to the pole as possible helped a lot https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

September 3, 2009 at 10:50 pm in reply to: Embarassed by Husband Finding my Practice Video 🙁

I get it…I have danced for a while now and never danced for my husband it has always been for me- oh sure he has been around when I have been practicing something but never actually seen me dance.

One night I made a short little video of me showing a friend of mine how to do a spinning climb…no big deal really and one or two other moves, sent it off to her, forgot about it and left in on the hard drive of my computer.

A YEAR later he was like…"Hey by the way cute video of you on the pole – to bad the doggy kept running up to you and trying to lick your feet"

UGGG I was SOOOOO annoyed I erased it that day https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Thank You soo much georgia! I finally got the wrist seat! I’ve been constantly trying to just spread my legs LOL but when I brought them in and then spread it worked like a charm! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif THANKS

    *Jessica*

YAY! I’m so glad it helped!

What glitter said is a very good point too. Leaning back is made easier if your top arm is lower on the pole (closer to your body) – for anyone else who comes to this thread looking for help https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

And Meleania, yes you sit on your wrist but some of your weight is also on your top hand which is holding the pole.

OH MY GOD…this stupid wrist sit has always been a big ole pain in my butt, however I always thought it looked way cool. I was just spreading my legs as well..tonight in class when I brought them in and then spread EASY AS PIE!!!!!

    THANKS!!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif …seriously who knew LOL

August 31, 2009 at 8:54 pm in reply to: Plastic Surgery

I had really sever fibroids for years since I got my period and eventually after multiple other surgeries had to have an abdominal hysterectomy. This is after already having a myomectomy with the same incision 5 years earlier. Because of all of years of the fibroids my stomach was EXTREMELY full and after the surgery would be stretched out. I had worked out for years but there was nothing that could be done really until they were removed.

I consulted with my female gyno/surgeon who at the time was pregnant and said "I am afraid I will be REALLY stretched out after all these years of fibroids…maybe I should have a tummy tuck at the same time?" she was against it. She took the stance of well you might be a little stretched out after but it won’t be that bad. HELLO!!! She was pregnant so at the end of her journey while she might be stretched out some she would have her baby…me I would have just had years of pain and then a saggy stomach. We argued and she set me up with a plastic surgeon – MALE- I requested a Male that she trusted and worked with – HE WAS LIKE "she is coming from a different space and she is wrong. You are young, and having a hysterectomy – you will be stretched out and you will be pissed off several months later and end up wanting the surgery. If you decide to have it after the fact you are going under anesthesia and more pain and healing for a second time for no reason. We can do both surgeries at once and while it WILL add additional recovery time on – you would already be going through weeks of recovery. If your muscles are separated when we are inside we will sew them back up…" Sounded great.

I ended up having the hysterectomy, a tummy tuck and lipo all at the same time. This is only really a viable choice for someone who is younger and in good physical shape – but it is totally doable. They used the same bikini cut incision as my previous myomectomy so the scar was nothing new to me. It was not the normal length of a full tummy tuck but a little shorter.

The beauty of doing it all at once was:
    A) One recovery period
B)Insurance paid for most of it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I just had to pay the PS fee which at 8K was super high but he is one of the best in the country
    C) I only had to go under once

I woke up beat up and slightly swollen but could INSTANTLY tell the difference. IT WAS A GOD SEND – the before and after pictures are soooo great to have – such a huge difference. I was actually annoyed I hadn’t done it years ago. I instantly went down 3 dress sizes and while I was extremely happy I was also mad that I had delt with all of this extra weight and pain for years. My PS did the surgery with my surgeon. He made the initial cut so it worked for him – then she did the surgery and then he did the tuck, little fixes and lipo.

I can’t say enough about how much I was pleased with the tummy tuck…now here’s the thing – it wasn’t perfect. I actually ended up going back in for some touch up lipo from him. Please note that most plastic surgeries are not perfect or even a one time deal – sometimes there is a little touch up work to be done. I knew this going in but even without the touch up work I was ecstatic https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif The funny part of all of this was after the whole thing was over my surgeon/gyno she said "hmmm I was wrong you needed this you look much better" lol. I would say it took me about 6 full months to be back to the physical level of say poling or doing pilates and forgetting that I had had a surgery. I would say I was doing uber light stuff…at around 2 months.

Make sure you have a great surgeon. Make sure you know the reality of what plastic surgery can and cannot do for you and most importantly know why you want it – otherwise I say GO FOR IT. It can be life changing – it was for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
