I can't find the vid is it on youtube?? It sounds like the Rondebaut spin. i tried it last night scary but i managed it, needs work though, and yeh you need to have your hand low on the pole to avoid hitting your head.

Smokin Angel can you do a vid of your way please, would love to see it.. I struggle with this move and feel its down to lack of back flexibility. I enter it from flatline scorpio… Great thread.

Don't wanna confuse the issue but when i extend my butterfly i turn my hips away from the pole and open out the chest. I am not facing the pole.

I can Forearm grip Aysha, but am working on Split Grip and Twisted Grip, my balance is off, I am strong enough to hold it but still keep falling but at least now it ios controlled falling after a 3 second hols. But with the cold weather I am not practising that much at the moment.

Sensualschimitar iam a veggie and tend to fill upm on carbs a lot as well as veggies, I also have a physical job and get hungry quickly if i don't stock up on carbs. Thats why I feel chunky.

Sensualscimitar, I am the same!! I am toned but still feel there is some fat over the muscles that i cannot shed, Nothing major but enough to make me feel chunky. I do love my carbs and chocolate though.

The x pole sport 40mm should be available this month but not in brass, they are bringing out a 45mm in brass too in December. I have used a 38mm R pole and i agree am not keen on the powder coating. R pole do have a stainless steel pole but I think its only available with the flimsy base, the sturdier based poles are about £800!! I don't find it a problem switching between 38 and 45mm, I think if you work on a bigger pole to begin with you are more flexible with diameter if that makes sense.

Some interesting views on here. I am engaging the shoulder and muscles in top arm. I was previously taking both legs off together as I thought that taking them off seperately was unbalancing me. But going through Veena’s lesson on it, I went back to taking one leg off at a time. Taking my left leg off first and trying to over balance to the left has helped me. I am still falling out of the move to to right but it is more controlled and managed to hold it for3 seconds! Does anyone have any more tips on holding balance in this move?
