I will have a go at everything, I won’t not do something before having a good try but there is one I refuse to do now. The Teddy! After much inner arm pain I refuse to do it anymore. I am yet to see anyone get into it from up the pole gracefully and get out of it gracefully and it’s just not pretty.
Can do it, don’t like it so won’t do it. If it’s in a routine at pole I skip it completely. -
Sail by Awolnation.
I love dancing around the pole to this.My Immortal by Evanescence.
Another favourite of mine for just moving around the pole.I write a ‘pole track Thursday’ post every week on my blog, it might help:

It might be worth a google of some articles about pole fitness and gymnastics. how much strength you need such as being able to so pull up etc.
Maybe find a few good quality you tube videos (the strength gymnastic kind) to try and show them that it’s all about strength and coordination which is needed for all kind of daily functional things.
As for your recovery, doing all sorts of gym work including pull ups will be done on the pole there is no real difference other than the sharp burst of quick intervals you would get from running for example. With your leg I doubt you could do this anyway. Also look for articles about stretching and developing flexibility for recovery as again that’s covered in pole and gymnastics alike.
I don’t have any articles to hand but I’m sure some research will give you a good standing on your recovery stance and that pole of not a hindrance.

Inverted V for me, been working on this way too long now that I am attending an invert workshop at my pole studio next week. Will do my start vid later today and share progress at the end of the month.

I started my blog from a complete newbie point of view. I also post about weight loss and CrossFit again from a newbie POV. I try and post weekly.

Stronger more flexible like many of you here. I should have also added ‘let go and give it some’. I over think things and it holds me back so I need to let go and just go for it more.
