What part of your body is taking most the weight with the twisted ballerina? Based on the video I put up, and chemgoddess put up, I want to say the bent leg is…but I'm probably wrong.

A stage would work best if you don't want anything touching the ceiling. If its an apartment, standard ceiling heights for apartments are usually 8 feet. So, if you get an xpole stage you'll have to order an additional part, OR, you can cut the pole. I went with the additional part (in case I do move somewhere or outside where I can attached the piece to make the pole 10 feet)

I got a stage specifically because I damaged my ceiling with my sport pole, and was told not to put it back up. The stage works out nicely. 🙂 It does take some time and fearlessness to get used to a stage, simply because every freestanding pole has a little wobble to it.

Also, as far as diameter, its all about personal preference. I thought I preferred 50mm after taking classes at S Factor studio. All that have are 50mm poles. These are really good for leg holds. There is a benefit of making your arms real strong doing poles and climbing too. My stage pole is a 45mm. Tiny being jarring at first, but trust me, your body gets used to the change. Hope that helps you!

I know how you feel. I've been at this for about…. 10 months or so. I still can't do it. And its quite frustrating when you get SO close but still not quite there. And I practice on a stage that's solid metal, extremely scary and I've bruised my toes quite a few times.

I'm going to go to Xpole and see if I can test out a demo stage to see if I like it. I've watched a bunch of side by side comparsions of xstage lite and platinum. So far, xstage seems better. But I'd like to officially test it before buying.

And for that price w/ shipping I might as well purchase from Xpole, but thank you for letting me know 🙂

And yes, I'll have to get a shorter B pole. Ceiling is only 8 feet heigh. It's an apartment. That's pretty standard.

To chemgoddess1, weak ceiling, not properly under a beam and retightening after each use. 🙁 I'm so sad.
