And yet ANOTHER reason why i dont watch the news….
Really, they couldnt find anything better to talk about than bloopers?
If they are gonna show a blooper of something (and its NOT a blooper/funniest video show) they should show the great side of it as well. That would make for a much better story I think, people actually looking really good doing that kind of stuff. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif But of course not, always got to poke fun.
I just feel bad for that poor girl. You know that hurt. I wonder if she was okay with them using her video like that? Not that she has a say anyway…. -

Welcome to the site! Happy to have you here. There are maybe a handful of Male pole dancers on here that you can hopefully get some tips from. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif
Hope you enjoy the site https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif -
Hmm the fact that is comes in 38mm is kinda cool, although my 45mm fits my hand perfect. I cant imagine having it any smaller! lol, im interested as well to see how the reviews are for it. I know there was a vid on YouTube with Felix, Pantera & some others trying out a 38mm pole but I dont know if that is the same one? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
I love that pad on the bottom tho, does anyone know of any makers that make crash pads especially for pole use? (That I can buy without having to purchase a pole with it) At the moment Im using couch cushions or nothing…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I had an injury not long ago and was off my pole for about 3 weeks. I didnt lose any strength but i did notice it hurt a bit more than usual (as far as pole burn is concerned) cause my body had kind of stopped getting used to the feeling… but it only lasted a day or 2 and then i was back to normal. You should be alright!

Welcome!!
I even have The Art of Pole Vol 1-2. Love the way Jamilla breaks it down to me. Since I’ve just barely got started.
I have never used DVD’s as help aids, but i think i may try…. Ive been hearing lots of good things about Jamilla’s DVD’s lately, i just may have to invest!
As of the kind of pole I own. I deserve to hide in the bucket of shame. Yes, I admit embarrassingly enough I own a Peek-a-boo pole. I haven’t had any problems with it so far. It Is not drilled to my ceiling, I think the reason why it hasn’t fallen down on me yet is because I have a hardwood floor and every time its up I make sure its tightened very well. I’ve been having it for about 3 weeks and yeah.

Just kidding! Its okay, we all have to start somewhere and unfortunately a lot of us started with crap poles (myself included). But Im sure you’ve read the pole posts and know all we have to say about Peekaboo so I wont bother with all that again, just be careful https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gifHope you get lots of enjoyment out of the site! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Go to the vids section, click on your video. That will bring up at seperate page where your video plays and diplays comments and all that. The url to your video is the web address in the main Url line of your web browser. It doesnt have a .mp4 or .avi or anything like that which makes it seem like it might not be the correct link but it is!
For example this is a link to my newest video… the url will look something like this… http://www.studioveena.com/video/gallery/A-bit-of-practice-uncut- then just highlight the link by left clicking and dragging and click on the URL button under the subject line of the post (in between the font color tab and img tab). That will put on either side of your link and makes it clickable. Or you can just type that on either side. Either way works! goes before the link and goes after https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

The only thing that doesnt vary is my warm-up. I ALWAYS warm up by stretching and doing some basic spins and climbing, a few push ups and stuff like that for about a song length or 2.
After that my workout is just kind of based on how I feel. I dont like to preplan, its just more fun to get on the pole and have a great time. But if Im working on a certain move, a lot of my time will be focused on trying to get it or smooth it out. The rest of the time I spend just doing random inverts, spins, some floor work. Just kind of going where my mind/body wants to take me! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I buy the majority of my shoes from http://www.pinkstilettoshop.com. They have a great selection and well made shoes. I havent had any probs with them so far. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif
They are a bit more pricy than some sites but in my opinion its worth it for the good quality.
I bought a pair of clear heels from some random site for like 30 bucks and after wearing them quite a bit the plastic has stretched out SO much that they are wobbly on my feet and i cant wear them to dance anymore. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
