Im fairly sure you cant actually embed the video (have a video screen up and watchable) in the forum but you CAN easily post the link by just copy & pasting the URL (web address) to the video here in the text box. Once you have the URL in the text box (such as this) highlight the link via left click & dragging and then click on the tab/button inbetween the subject line & the text box. That will put the html code on the sides of it.
Hope that helps!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

Technically there’s is a little different tho, their lady has a pole. Veena’s lady doesnt. Hmmm I wonder if they are aware of the similarities between theirs and Veena’s?? -
I ordered my newest pole from this site and it only took 3 days… but me and Veena live in the same state so that could’ve helped the speediness. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
Im sure it wont take very long tho. Most from what I’ve heard it takes between a week or 2 for most….
Yay for you both on getting a pole!! -
I have carpet as well but its really short… i dont know how long medium length would be in carpet talk https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
BUT what I find helps with spins and such is socks. The REALLY low cut ones that go below your ankle, they pretty much just cover your toes & heel. They help.Im pretty used to dancing in shoes tho, its still my preference although I hate trying to do quick graceful drops (into splits) in heels on my carpet. My heel always gets stuck! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif
Try the sockie thingys tho, hopefully that will help you a bit! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

What I do when setting up my pole in a new room or something…. I stand on each side of the pole (4 directions… N,S,E & W) and hold onto the pole with my hand (extended arm) and extend out my leg so my body is parallel to the floor. It usually equals out to what my height is. So for me personally I like at LEAST 5 feet of space around my pole (Im 5 foot 2). That way I know when I spinning with my legs extended or doing something that requires a limb being a few feet away from the pole, I wont kick anything. I do have a desk that sits a bit closer (like 4 feet away) but its low enough to the ground that I dont bump it when Im ON the pole.

Some things are standard but I don’t understand why there isn’t a standard name for everything in pole dance. It is not like in ice skating… You would never hear a Triple Axel be called a Thrice Weezel, you know?

You are too funny ABC’sBut yeah, I wish there was one basic name for every move but unfortunately it just doesnt work that way. On Wikipole it does list alternative names for the moves (some of them anyway) but a lot of us are pretty familiar with the different lingo, since this site has members from all over. Im sure we could figure out what you are talking about https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

MemberAugust 15, 2009 at 4:05 pm in reply to: So I smashed my face on my hardwood floor, yay!!…not!Dont be discouraged. We all have accidents and injuries and all that jazz. Just comes with the territory i guess, pole dancing is NOT easy and it is NOT the safest way to exercise, but is definitely fun. If you love love love pole dancing its worth the risk and you’ll just keep going. Maybe to help you get back on and get comfortable again put some mats down just so you know IF you do fall again you’ll have cushion. Eventually i think you’ll get comfortable again and kick those mats to the side when you dont need them.
Good luck & hope your face heals soon! -

Hmmm… i dont have a Lil Mynx pole so maybe someone here has had the same problems with the same pole….
It sounds like you’ve tried a lot of things already. Im surprised none of that worked! The only thing I could think of is possibly the temperature in your house? Climate can effect pole slippiness/grippiness. Veena wrote an article about this, here is the link: https://www.studioveena.com/info/2009/05/19/the-temperamental-pole/Also make sure you are warming up the pole before doing major tricks and such on it. Usually for about a song length I just do some basic spins and rub my hands up and down the pole to get it warm. A cold pole is never good.
Hope that helps some
