First of all, installing a pole is always an at your own risk scenario and the best place to contact for support would be X-Pole.

With that in mind… most apartments will tell you not to install poles for one reason or another in order to eliminate their liability. If they helped you install it, or gave you information on how or where, and it does cause damage they can’t assess you for this damage when you move out because of the implied consent caused by their help.

With this in mind as long as the ceiling is standard sheetrock it should have wooden studs/joists and a stud finder should be able to locate them for you or you might even engage a handyman. Most home improvement stores have resources to help you find a handyman if you don’t already know one. Paying a handyman $25 to $50 dollars to help you locate the stud is a very inexpensive way to insure you install it in the correct place which can save you far more in the long run.

Is the ceiling suspended in a frame or is it solid. If you have a hanging framework you can usually just remove one of the ceiling tiles. If that is not the case I would call in a handyman to provide more insight regarding what you are dealing with.

Assuming you’ve you could try something like PB blaster. spray where the joint contacts the pole several times over a day and hopefully it would pull out. PB Blaster is the best thing I’ve found for loosening frozen metal components, WAY better than WD-40.

Paypal is one of the largest banking firms in the world. They now own most of the apps you use to transfer money including Venmo and roughly half of all online transactions are facilitated across their network. PayPal is the easiest platform for us to plug in and provides tremendous security for both the buyer and retailer.

It should be fixed shortly. Apple failed to notify us that our app store subscription had lapsed. I have resolved the issue.

March 14, 2020 at 3:42 pm in reply to: How to Effectively SEARCH in the Discussions/Blog?

I have fixed the search. It was a small change in the way our DB handled queries and our search engine wasn’t reporting back properly. Thanks for letting me know about this.

You can now search for discussions using the search box.

I’ll look into this tomorrow. It looks like there may be a bug in the search as it should be displaying discussion entries in its results.

February 23, 2020 at 6:23 pm in reply to: Contract for pole fitness

First make sure your liability insurance covers pole. Some fitness insurances won’t cover injuries if the exercise involves both feet coming off the ground. Think bar based gymanastics, pole dance, etc…

Beyond that you need to simplify the contract:

Option 1) She could be paid as a contractor. Your studio accepts payment for the lessons and establishes the member/non-member rate and accepts payment. You pay her either a flat rate per session or a flat rate per attendee. She should not be paid differently based on the membership status of the students.

Option 2) She rents your studio for a set rate per session, she establishes her own rates and accepts her own payment.

There has been a change in video format versions that make the old videos unplayable with standard browsers. We will evaluate whether it is something we can fix or not.

@PoleMars could you please attempt reuploading your video. There seems to have been a hiccup. While the video made it to our servers the transcoder didn’t pick it up.

Mystical, some phones work better than others with those type of accessories. There should be information online regarding your phone and how it works with an HDMI adapter.
