grayeyes – this is a perplexing problem.
Generally the location shouldn’t be an issue as our images and videos are mirrored to servers all over the world.
What type of iPad do you have (generation 1 through generation 5)? Generation 1 iPads are starting to run slowly as they have difficulty handling the rendering requirements of iOS 5. Also what type of computer do you have and how old is it?

KCSuzy – iOS 5.1 has a couple bugs in Safari. The infield label that I use in the search box that was supported in iOS 5.0 and previous as well as everything from 6 on forward doesn’t work in 5.1.x. You’ll see this bug in all browsers on your 5.1.x device because all 3rd party browsers are required to use safari to render websites.

We only have the one search field right now. We are using a search engine designed and built by amazon so we have a lot of control over weighting and we are trying to find the right formula before moving into anything else.

If you leave the upload it will cancel if you leave a video that is already listed in processing it won’t affect it.

Rest assured everyones videos receive the same security treatment.
It can be a couple things. The URLS are a bit shorter when you view your own videos. They URLs may be cached in your browser. It may be that whatever is causing the problem is only hacking off one or two characters and your user_id hashes out a couple characters shorter than everyone else’s.
Don’t worry that yours aren’t protected, they are. All you need to know is that when you have a problem with your browser the results can be unpredictable.

tiggertail – This means that you have a bad plugin or virus on your computer that is truncating the URLs, a bad plugin is more likely than a virus.
Generally people will say “But I can watch Youtube videos” and I have to go on to explain:
“Our video URLs are longer than sites like Youtube because we’ve got several levels of security to make it harder for people to steal the videos than it is on Youtube or other sites.”
Most people have success turning off plugins in their browser until they find the one that caused the problem, sometimes its easier to just switch browsers for people that already have multiple browsers on their computer.

HTC One should work fine. Are you connected by cellular or wireless network?

What type of phone do you have?

PoleB3auty – How are you recording then uploading your videos. They are uploading to the server successfully but then the transcoder is unable to handle them.

You can certainly use them on a Windows 7 or 8 device, my recommendation would be a windows 8 as there will come a time when you won’t be able to upgrade Internet Explorer on Windows 7 past a certain point. If you want something less involved than a full PC we love our iPads on AT&T, they work great.
Once you get to that point where you purchase the lessons again, let me know, and I’ll refund half of your first subscription period, or $20 if you purchase a year to account for your provider making it difficult to watch them previously.

iMovie works on the well iPhone and I believe it’s free now.
