If I can toot our own horn, Veena has always been concerned about people's progression and because of that we've ordered the lessons and included lots of supporting material in her getting started videos.
Now we have taken that one step further and released the first guided system ever for pole. For 30 days you have a workout from Veena that will help you progress and establish your fundamentals giving you a more successful pole journey. These workouts link to other related lessons and provide a well rounded experience and pole education.
You can't get a more complete system anywhere.

Our lessons work on many devices. They play on most smart phones, most tablets, the PS3, XBox if you've updated to have Internet Explorer. People have even played them through web-enabled blue ray players and televisions.

The unfortunate reality with any business is that a passion for the purpose is not enough. You need to either have or be partnered with someone who has a business mentality. These are the two unseperable sides of a business:
1) What you are selling
2) How will you sell itIt's not something that can be explained in a couple paragraphs on a forum.
If you really want to make a go of it find a mentor. This should be someone who has built and run at least one successful business, someone who is available via phone when you need it and someone who is available to step in occassionally and teach you when tough decisions need to be made.
This person can help you with the tactical decisions such as late fees and such but more importantly they can help you with the strategic decisions that will shape your business from the top down.
Good luck!!!

I think its semantic. Flat does not mean level. My guess is it refers to the fact that you still should only apply this to standard ceilings. A tin ceiling for example will still be ruined by this, also a ceiling that is not "true" could still bend your pole as you tighten it and attempt to have it straight.

This is not so simple a question.
First the best training tool is the one you will use. At studios schedules conflict and cost can be inhibitive. If you will have any difficulty making it to your studio on a regular basis, prerecorded options will be better.
Second, it is important to know your local studio. You would be surprised how many people have spent thousands of dollars learning at their local studios only to get Veena's lessons, and write to tell us that they couldn't get a move in a studio environment because they were being taught wrong.
Finally if you can afford it do both. There is nothing like a properly taught studio experience with Veena's lessons at home to provide training throughout the week when you aren't at the studio.

It sounds to me like its a flooring issue. This is a rare problem in older houses. Older homes sometimes used minimal structure under the carpet and can exhibit a fair amount of give. So your pole could feel tight and then you add your body weight and it causes the floor to give more and the pole to shift.
If you release the pole and jump a bit on the space your pole presses on the floor do you feel any give?

AdministratorDecember 9, 2012 at 9:07 pm in reply to: Studio Veena v. PoleAndAerial.com lessons? We have worked very, very hard to build what we have here at StudioVeena.Com. Veena's lessons are second to none.
Our only goal, is your success as a pole dancer. The lessons are accesible not only in teaching style but economically as well.
Veena's teaching style is clear and concise, yet utterly complete. She focuses on building you up step by step to become a better stronger dancer. She doesn't just throw you in a pool and tell you to swim.
No-one else in the industry has leveraged the technology made available by digital editing to the extent that she has. From overlays to visual cues to timers and many other pieces that we'll call our secret sauce, no other educational resource has come together in quite so perfect a way to make you a successful pole dancer. Veena's lessons are so much more than a simple recording they are a complete tool.
This has been our passion for the last four and a half years. We have dumped buckets of blood sweat and tears into this. We maintain between 6 and 8 (varies by demand) enterprise grade servers to keep your discussions, videos, and lessons flowing. This does not and cannot run off a $5/month Godaddy account.
If you want to try our lessons please feel free to use the promo code GET3FREE on your account page.

AdministratorDecember 4, 2012 at 4:12 pm in reply to: gluten free/dairy free, eating more vegetablesI know this is gonna be hard to believe considering how svelt I am (Hey everyone stop laughing at the fat kid let him believe what he wants). I've been dieting lately. My approach has been simple, run every morning and keep my caloric intake down. I use an App for my phone called "lose it" to track my caloric intake.
Knowledge seems to be the clincher here. When I know how many calories I'm putting in my body I am making better food decisions. I don't want to eat a 500 calorie cookie when I know it won't fill me up and will take the place of a filling dinner at the same count.
With any diet you will feel like crap for a week or so, its your body adjusting to the change in nutrition. If it goes longer than that though you definitely need to adjust.
