Turns out I didn’t have the smallest x-joint(180mm) and had to order it, because I bought my 45mm Xpert from someone. My ceiling is about 8ft 2in, so all I needed was the one x joint for it to fit snug against the ceiling. Once I received the part, the dome slid all the down and I put it up! Look to see if you might have mixed up the x joints. If you only need one x joint, make sure it is the smallest one, with the arrow on the shaft. Hope this helps 🙂

But I’m guessing, yours isn’t an Xpert or Sport? Then that would make sense. Look on ebay, maybe you’ll get lucky.

MemberOctober 1, 2015 at 6:05 pm in reply to: What is the best type of poke to buy for a beginner?Yes, please don’t buy anything “Off Brand”. They might have an appealing price, but honestly if you want to have peace of mind AND body, stay with industry and pole tested product. I’m a newbie and I’ve done so much research on every available pole out there! I was all set to buy a new chrome 45mm Xpert(Xpole) when I ran into someone selling her 1yr old pole at a great deal, on Craigslist. If you try Craigslist, be smart and ask questions and pics if there aren’t any. You could perhaps go to a local Pole Fit studio, and ask the instructor if she knows anyone selling theirs…or just save up the extra cash and buy a new pole from any of the three companies, Rune listed. My opinion, I prefer Xpole as my pole. The Xpert is static, as well as spinny. Also, it comes in segments with a carry bag, which makes it easy for me to transport, just in case I move or I go to a friends house with it. Hope this helps…good luck! 🙂

A proper pumice stone will help as well. Make sure it is an actual pumice stone, though as they sell some that are too smooth or some that just have a coating of pumice. The real ones will look like lava rock(rough, bigger crevices). Also a cleansing with an exfoliating cleanser and moisturizing should help.
