I would be interested. I’m in Chicago.

I have some shorts and I’m 5’6″. I am also have big hips. They are cute and I got a large but I must say it depends on the brand because these fit good everywhere else except the waist. It’s too big. But a smaller size will not fit my big booty. So now I have to have someone take them in. :/

Awesome!! Thanks for the likes too!! Going to inbox you on the info from the person I bought it from. Less expensive apparatus. 😉

Hi sirene
Silks with pole is awesome! I fell in love with it when I first came across it. Now I’m certified and teaching it in Chicago.
There are different apparatus and names for this technique but the outcome are similar. If you want to see some videos and pics. You can subcribe to my Instagram @LifeOfAPoleTrick.
What I can say is that it has made me stronger. Holding on to silks is like doing pull ups. Plus it’s so artistic and Beautiful 🙂 -
I’m still in a look out for a manufacture that sell pole short or tops with your studio logo on it. If anyone else knows of a site. Please let me know.

I had that same problem a long time ago. It was because of core, hand position and a mind thing especially since I hurt my rotator. Try it from the floor. This is a good way to build your body back up or also good if it’s a mind set. Get into a squat position and try it from there or like @Suz Sweeney mention try reverse engineering. So get into your pencil, quarter turn, and try to shoulder mount from there.
Also, if you are using a cup grip, don’t forget to really pull forward and don’t keep it as high. Also, try to putting your leg back to give you montmomentum. This will help. Once you get the hang of it, you won’t need to do that. Attached is a picture of what I mean. If you need to see a video you can subscribe to my Instagram (@LifeOfAPoleTrick) and I can tag you on it.

There is a guy name Dorian. He is great at answering questions. His site is FluidMetalDesigns.com
As for the silks with pole, I do have one and I teach it as well. it’s great!! It really builds your muscles!! You can use it on a stage or on a pole mounted to your ceiling. So you can get both 😉

@LifeOfAPoleTrick -
I’ve been teaching Polesilks in Chicago Loop for 8 months now. I’m actually the only studio in this area that does. It’s actually great!! It builds your muscles and if taught correctly it’s great for beginners and can be a spotter with certain tricks. I agree with @HoneyAlyssa that it helps with the mental roadblocks. It’s definitely something to add to your workout. And you’ll find a few things much easier too. You can view some of my videos below to help you.

I wish it was battery operated. As I would like to take it with me to other studios. Outlets are not close by. So still holding out.

Thanks Veena! I’ll check it out.

@Jivete can I bother you with one more question? Can you wash these in a washing machine? On the site is says hand wash. Just wonder how you keep them clean.

Great Thank you!!!

LOL cool! I’m going to try! Thanks a lot!!
Here is a video of me performing with pole silks to give you an idea.
The height I have there is 9.5 ft. although I can go higher but wanted the audience to be able to see everything. 😉 Posting another event video soon. -
Sorry I meant 14″ in length of the silks. My ceilings are 8.5 ft
8.5*2=17/3=5.6 so 8yards to be safe, correct?
I will not be doing drops. This will be used with my pole.
Thank you @Jivete!! This was the best explanation of buying silks. Wow!!
