I’m still having problems – I find I often face 2 main issues:
1. I feel like I can’t release my bottom hand as I know my top hand can’t hold me up.
2. I can’t drop my hips low enough after the flip over as I feel stuck to the pole and if I try to ‘slide’ down there is too much friction.

I’m pretty comfortable in my brass monkey but I only do it from a side sit mainly. I’m not super comfortable in my cross ankle release. In your program, I currently only pick and work on tricks that I like or I’m having issues with, which is sometimes an issue I do realise as I have certain more basic tricks that I’m not so comfortable with.

Thank you! You do have the best tips 😀

Thanks, so to keep the bottom leg bent as well until both legs are together? Will try that – might have to rest today as my shoulder and wrist is feeling achy!

Progress!!! Your tip to lower the torso really helps and I studied your videos many times as well and made a conscious effort to try to cross my top leg over the bottom leg which really helps with the flip over! I had 2 semi successful attempts like that amidst the dozen or so I attempted. I figured my bottom hand shouldn’t be too low otherwise I can’t lift myself up? Should I lower my hips more or lift my body up more? How do I do that? https://youtube.com/shorts/MRSaQnjmOyQ?si=m_SmTXr9CiK7Ae_9

Yes I have been using your tutorials- my biggest issue is that I can’t get my top leg to flip over as it rubs very hard against the pole and I can’t keep my bottom leg up. So I don’t have any thing holding me up during the transition. Here’s a video of me doing it from the floor and the only way I can flip the top leg is if I put my bottom leg on the floor.

Ah ok thanks so much! I’ve attached my really bad attempt at it 😂 I started from outside leg hang so I could get the waist in the right position. But then when I move in the inside leg, it’s really painful when the thighs rub against the pole and I’m not sure if it’s at the correct spot.

How do I attach a video? It only seems to allow me to attach photos
