STRENGTH BUILDING – Length 18:00 – Items needed: None

In this routine I’ve combined sexy floor work into a challenging workout. It’s designed strengthen the muscles of the legs and abs as well as actively lengthening the muscles through dynamic controlled movements.

Tips to help you get the most out of this workout:

  • Always watch the related videos listed before doing any workouts or routines. This will insure you’re familiar with each of the exercises used in the routine and allow you to choose any modifications.
  • Track your sets and reps. Don’t worry if you can’t do all of the reps I suggest. Instead make sure to write down how many you did do so you can try and do one or two more next time.
  • Suitable for beginners.
  • This routine can be used for a warm up before pole or before a flexibility session. It can also be used on it’s own as lower body and abdominal strength training.
  • Make sure you’ve been cleared by your health professional before starting any exercise programs.
  • Always leave a day of rest between workouts when your starting or just getting back into exercise.
  • To build strength, use this routine 2-3 times a week for 4-8 weeks.

  2. Tried this one this morning. Great workout. One question Veena….how long before my moves start to look as effortless as yours? I was sweatin’ and pantin’ the entire time. Maybe I need sexy leggins and heels to get my body in the mood…lol!

  3. Wow. I’m wiped, and that was without shoes! I don’t know how you do this V. I enjoyed it and will do it again, but I’m going to have to invest in some knee pads I think…

  4. Yes, knee pads would be a good option too! I would normally use the towels for the knees. This floor was so hard, like cement, anytime I do any floor work here I get bruising, even on my low back and I’m a light, gentle dancer!
