Fireman and Back hook spin. When transitioning to the back hook use the shin of the leg that’s on the pole to push off, generating more power to turn the body backwards for back hook.

The pink words are direct links to each related tutorial, these will provide more information like full descriptions, and things to working to achieve each trick.

  1. I can’t seem to got the switch from fireman to back hook. When i try this i always touch the ground before the switch and bang the front of the knee. Help. I can do both spins well on their own.

  2. Me too!! I am happy to be back! You wouldn’t guess what video did for me!! It was one of yours when i think you just had your last kiddo, The one with the inverts? It inspired me to get off of my butt!

  3. YESSSS!!!! I got it! That was tricky. Was practically jumping up and down with joy. I think a good way to think about it is to have the mindset that you’re doing the fireman into a climb, that way you don’t run the risk of touching the floor before you can make the transition.

  4. You can, just you must change the technique slightly for spins. As using a sweeping and pushing of the feet can throw you off a spinning pole! 😊

  5. I’d love to nail this. I am on a static pole. I have my fireman on both side as well as my back hook. The issue is I am not high enough on the pole for fireman so by the time I try to get into hook, I am unable because I’m too close to the floor. Any ideas for me?
