What did you notice when you took time to just observe? Leave a comment if you’d like to share. Right now, I hear Christmas music and my husband making cookies while our new puppy is running around. I can smell the cookies and the garlic chicken I made earlier. It’s nice and warm in the house from all the cooking, I love it.

  1. Love those rest days! Especially when I’m already feeling exhausted by life! 😅 It’s a nice reward and really helps to keep me balanced from “over doing it”, which is my propensity! Being intentional about creating periods of rest in my life is very hard because I’m always looking at what I COULD be doing to get ahead in life. But rest is SO IMPORTANT!! These days, it’s a non-negotiable 💜. I can hear traffic outside if my window but otherwise it’s silent. I can hear the patter of me typing this message on my phone, though 😆.
