Invert Class Day 1
Mantra: I do not need to be perfect to achieve my goals
Tips: I want to be clear about the goal of this week long class. It’s not to “get” you to invert. Really it’s about building strength, skills and confidence for the Invert. You’ll gain a better understanding of the invert and your own body and mind. You might be inverting by the end of the week, you might not, one is not better than the other, there is no expectation! It can be hard to commit to doing something with no expectation behind it, so if that’s the case for you, the expectation for this class is to be open to a more holistic approach to pole education.
Question: What was the most challenging skill for you today? What did you find to be the most fun or enjoyable?
Homework: Write down 1-5 things you’re most worried about, then list 1-5 things you’re most excited about. *Hint* it’s ok if what comes out isn’t related to pole dance at all because chances are it’s been playing in your subconscious which can affect anything you’re doing, including learning something new.
If you need to pause the video at anytime to practice more or have a look at a related tutorial to learn more tips for an exercise or trick go for it.
Here’s a list of direct links for some of the more challenging tricks, exercises and stretches used.
Loved this lesson format!! The classroom style is much easier to follow than the isolated skill lessons. My biggest challenge too is finding the right time. As a mom, it’s usually early in the morning before the kids wake up – but then it’s finding time to rest too because that takes a toll too.
Yay, I’m glad you liked it so far! Yeah even though my kids are not little an only one is living with us I almost need more time allotted because if they want to do something I’m not gonna say no. Time goes by so fast I’ll take any chance I get I be with them. 😁 See you tomorrow!
the thing I struggled with most today was just showing up as I have not had any energy since getting up
the thing I enjoyed most was the controlled tuck\lift as the tuck and head tilt that I have been taught by every other instructor did not work nor did it make sense for my brain or body.
thanks for a great day 1 class!
Man I had a tough time getting motivated this morning too!
I’m glad this method is connected with you more! Looking forward to hearing your progress!
Hii, this was a lot fo fun and I enjoyed the live format too.
What I found most challenging was landing with grace after lifting/tucking my legs up. I kept thumping down on the balls of my feet when exiting.
What I enjoyed most would be doing the class along with you and how good that stretch holding the pole at the end was!
Awesome! So next time we do the tuck drills focus on a soft landing 🛬
My biggest challenge was fitting this into my schedule. I loved how much content you fit into a short 35 min. I feel rejuvenated to co time the rest of my day!! Thank you!! 😊
Awesome! I’ll see you tomorrow
I enjoyed this very much. I am alternating training days between this invert class (day 1 completed) and your beginner level 1 (Day 10 completed). It’s fun to change it up.
I found the chest lifts to be the hardest. Noticed I need balance on the side lifts and one side was easier than the other. The most fun was the chair spin. I needed a lot of pole grip on my hands to keep myself from sliding down the pole to fast on the chair spin lol
Thank you for this great lesson.
I’m glad you enjoyed the class! It’s always interesting to hear how things differ for everyone and also how sometimes people end up having similar experiences!
