Mantra: Strive for progress not perfection

Tips: Let’s talk about why we sweep with the outside leg instead of the inside. It’s not going to hurt you if you lead with the inside leg, however it does put you at risk of smashing a toes on the pole and most of all, it doesn’t provide a secure grip into a crucifix or outside leg hang because you end up with the wrong leg reaching the pole first. I also want to remind you not to worry about the “straddle” chopper position, until you become stronger and the step and sweep method is automatic. This is covered in my V invert (chopper) tutorial.

Question: Which day was more challenging for you? Yesterdays upper body work or today?

Homework: Today I want you to write down what you think would happen if you were never able to invert? Then sit and think about if the story you’re telling is true? No matter the conclusion write down what makes this story true or not true?

If you need to pause the video at anytime to practice more or have a look at a related tutorial to learn more tips for an exercise or trick go for it.

Here’s a list of direct links for some of the more challenging tricks, exercises and stretches used.

Squat with leg lift

Hip flexor lifts

V sit compressions

The ab switch

Squat on the pole

Pole climb using pole hold grip

Pole climb using push grip

      1. Yes I have! I am going to do day 5 today. Things are going well. Im taking days off in between when I go to pole class. Really enjoying the program and learning a lot. 😊

          1. Oh yes please. I definitely prefer one continuous class that I can follow along over shorter videos. I like that the shorter videos autoplay in the programs but even still this format is much better to work with. Do more!

          2. I LOVE this style of class!! It is so much easier for me to follow and I feel like I am connecting with you so much better. Please do more!! 🩷

  1. yesterdays class was more challenging for mee as my shoulders and arms are weaker then my lower body. although i always have new pole kisses every time i practice crucifix

  2. Today was more challenging for me, this was because I tried to warm up with a beginner flow I found on social media and it was actually way too advanced for me which was super demoralising and I almost decided to can the day LOL so glad I didn’t, because I felt really good by the end of this class.

  3. today was more challenging with the v sit compression and pole squats. My legs are very weak and were shaking so I had to hold myself up with my hands for most of it. I tried to let go but my legs were shaking too much. I usually have stronger upper body than lower body. In time my legs will get stronger.

my side pole holds are still not balanced when I come back down but I think I need to incorporate the chest lift to help my balance. I think that’s what you said in Day 1 to help with the balance.

I enjoy this format of classroom and the other format too. Thank you.

    1. I think it will be good to have options for different styles of learning.

Squats are a great strength builder 🦵

Yes working on lifting the chest helps you engage your back muscles. 💪
