I developed this trick back in the day when Studioveena had a chatroom with video! The members here even helped me name it. Before working on this it will be helpful to have a solid flag grip, forearm/elbow grip, elbow stand, and shoulder dismount.

Side hold tuck

Planks

Shoulder stand pike

Elbow stand (prep)

Shoulder mount

Strengthens: LATISSIMUS / PECTORALS / DELTOIDS / TRICEPS / BICEPS / ABDOMINALS / ERECTOR SPINAE / GLUTES

  1. Jennifer, no the head is not pushing into the arm or ground, it would not be good for the neck, the head is tucked and through the arm. The arms hold you up, with most of the weight being on the flag grip arm.

  2. FYI wearing socks to learn this trick helped me to make more progress in doing this trick! I’ve been wanting to learn how to do it for a long time now! Like a few years, and today I made my first baby one🤩! I skipped the straddle and went to inverted crucifix then shoulder mounted out. Thank you Veena for everything you do and your amazing instruction 🥰!
